Which AR? Olympic or Alex Pro?

As far as I'm concerned, APF is good to go. I use their parts for my builds. I like how they make 6.8 SPC bolts and I've never received an out of spec part.

Re: AR-triggers

I have a Geissele SSA-E in darn near every AR I own, even plinkers, but I ended up with a Larue MBT-2S on a rifle and it is nice. Has a much larger trigger bow than a Geissele.

suppressor recommendations.

Suppressors on a browning tilting barrel pistol require a Nielsen device (booster). A suppressor like the Griffin Optimus comes with configurations for both pistols and rifles. Check it out.

GOT MY STAMPS!!!! 2 SBRs. One is finished.

Many claim engraving is only required upon sale. Much like an 80% lower.

Re: Thoughts on this simple car carry gadget?

I would take a look at the G-Code RTI wheel. Just mount it where you want and attach the hanger to the holder of your choice or use a G-Code holster with the RTI option installed already. This way you can throw a belt-based RTI wheel system in your glove box and go from vehicle to waist without havi...

Heading to the Homestead

Nougat wrote:hundreds at least, right?

worried I was wrong for a second when I saw the post appear above this.

Yes, hundreds. But have the right tool for the job. Ideally you'd have both but if you can only afford one, get the one you need.

Heading to the Homestead

Many feel differently, but I think an AR15 is a far better home protection firearm than a shotgun, plus potentially useful out in the woods as well. Would that end up costing significantly more? Not really. Just don't buy junk. Something like this would do. http://www.apfarmory.com/apf-econo-carbin...

Looking to buy 1st AR15.

Welcome to the dark side. Lots of good "first ARs" out there. Pick up one at a good price, buy some mags and ammo and go shoot. You'll develop preferences that can be implemented with mods or future rifles. It'll become and addiction... Or you're a robot... ;) What is your intended purpose...

New thermal MN hunting rig

Nice! Do you plan to use that on a real rifle in a "free" state? I want one of those scope display models they use at Gander that is basically the same thing made of wood. I have an ATN X-Sight coming that would be nice to mount on one when "hunting" for some cool night footage. ...
