Re: Bolt action .22lr mecca?

Sounds like a sweet weapon. I'm still shooting my very first gun that I ever owned. In 1972 (I was 14) my dad gave me a brand new Remington 552 SPeedmaster. It shoots 22 short, .22 Long and .22 Long Rifle and is extremely accurate, even for a semi-auto. I just pulled it out of the safe for a good cl...

Re: Ahlman's

I have a few extra ammo cans, 50 or 30 cal cans. How does the 25-06 feel now? My daughter is indecisive about whther she wants to sell or not, as it would be a good rifle for hunting in Texas IF that's where she ends up for graduate school. So in the mean time until she decides, have fun. Or I will...

Re: chronograph test available in metro?

I have a chrono, but it's up north right now. I'll bring it back when I go up next time. $100 deposit and you can borrow it. Return it without any new holes and get your money back. Could I do this once it warms up a bit? I grew up in Miami, FL and then lived in GA until 2002 when I came here. I'm ...

Dang, I hope they still have some in two weeks. I could use two more and hate paying $20 at FF? I bought the last one Fronteirsmen had last week for $14.99. Hopefully they will still have them when I go to get my rifle.

Re: Important anniversary....

I'm already planning out my dedicated reloading room. When we make the move up north, I'll be building out a temporary dwelling in the pole barn to live in while the house is under construction. When we relocate to the house, one of the former temp bedrooms will become the ammo plant. :mrgree...

Re: Ahlman's

The powder and primers were on par. I paid $19.99 a lb for Power Pistol and $39.99 for 1500 Fiocchi LRP's. They didn't have a large selection of reloading bullets, except a fairly good supply of Cast bullets. I also noticed two different guys buying 50 cal ammo cans, but I didn't see the price. I di...

Re: Ahlman's

Perhaps you did not notice the Handicaped entrance on the west side of the Bldg. . There used to be a wholesaler located in Faribault, Alhmans also had a store across the St from the wholesaler, you could order a gun or whatever drive to the Faribault store and pick up your order. The orders were p...

Re: Ahlman's

Well, I went to Ahlman's today Did you happen to notice what they do or don't have in stock compared to places closer to the cities? I did get a good look but didn't search for anything other than what I was looking for. They had some SPP but had a limit of 500 for $19.99. If you mention something ...

Ahlman's

Well, I went to Ahlman's today and I'm having the stock on my Weatherby "fitted" to me, and a, what appeared and was suggested, a good recoil pad installed. Getting old has taught me that getting hit with a lot of recoil isn't nearly as fun as it used to be. These bones don't take the shak...

Re: Scope rings

Ok, thanks for all of the info guys. So far my plan is the burris XTR rings, a millet one piece base, and one of these wheeler mounting kits that has the lapping and torque wrench included. Has anyone used the wheeler kits before? Seem to be pretty popular and I am finding them all over. Thanks, Lu...

Re: Discuss - liquidate .357 for 10mm

Last year I sold two S&W 686's to buy other guns. I now regret it terribly. I have come to a decision (too late I may add) that the ONLY way I will let another gun go, is in a trade or if I am in DIRE NEED of funds! FWIW! If I had your decision to make, I would simply start putting aside ...

Re: .45 for the wife

I was pumped to see this thead. My wife hates shooting 9mm (and even .380) because of how snappy they are. She shot my new 1911 yesterday and it was tough to pry it from her hands. I don't know about you guys, but I was about the proudest husband in the world seeing my wife enjoy shooting the .45. ...

Re: Post em up! Let's see those reloading benches

Just getting set up in lower level of 85 year old home. Was in main floor office, nice furniture, rugs, lots of natural sunlight, must be a bottom dweller at hart cause I’m much happier at this location. You're just trying to be like me. A bottom feeder  You saw how peaceful my setup was in my...
