Re: Hunting rufle trigger weight

Don't do anything without a trigger scale. The Lyman on is good for about $70. Measures to 12 #.

Re: Hunting rufle trigger weight

How are you hunting? Winter with gloves? Walking thru brush? From a stand? Varmints from a benchrest? It would all matter.

For me 4 to 7 # depending upon the type of hunt.

Crisp, clean break trigger whatever the weight.

Re: 45 ACP

The only 1911 I could not get to shoot 200 gr SWC bullets was a 3 inch Springfield. The only bullet it would shoot was 230 gr ball. It did not like any other style of bullets. I have a 3 inch Sig 1911 the handles the 200 gr SWC or most any other style of 45 bullet. I normally do not shoot the 3 inch...

Re: Texas 'licensed-to-carry' bystander shot El Paso mall shoote

Also from the same article:

Investigators learned there were "at least" two more people who were legally armed, but weren't involved in the shooting.

Re: Minnesota reports 38% drop in new gun permits

2003 - 2008 - 2013 - 2018 - 2023 Yep. For all us old farts it's cycled around again. Yes that time has come around again. Should send a reminder to everyone of us. It doesn't seem possible that it has been 20 years since we passed "Shall Issue" in 2003. It would never pass in this adminis...

Re: 45 ACP

I adjust the grip safety on my 1911's to reduce the amount of travel to de-activate to a minimum. I had a couple Glocks years ago. Went back to 1911's for 45's. Never liked the "wide" feel of the double stack Glocks and the way they "point". I shoot enough competition the manual ...

Re: 45 ACP

I don’t like an ambi safety on my 1911 carry gun. I have had the safety brushed off a couple of times. Carry in Milt Sparks VersaMax IWB. Also carry a Kimber Pro.

I do have ambl safeties on my competition guns.

Re: Minnesota reports 38% drop in new gun permits

WCCO (4) news only reported with the 38 % drop in PTCs in 2022. No further reporting of the BCA data. KSTP (5) news reported that the levels of PTCs issued in 2022 were back to the levels of previous years after record levels of PTCs issued in 2020 & 2021. Big difference in the bias of news repo...

Re: Minnesota reports 38% drop in new gun permits

Terrible headline reporting of the data. The number of 2022 permits issued was similar to the number of permits issued for 2017, 2018,and 2019 after a record number of permits were issued for 2020 and 2021. The headline is just terrible reporting. Sensationalized reporting. What the headline should...

Re: Minneapolis staffing ‘crisis’ spreads as workers shot at, as

This is the case I was thinking about. Ordered June 20, 2022. The Minnesota Supreme Court has ordered Minneapolis to immediately hire more police officers or prove why it can't. The city charter gives Mayor Jacob Frey a "clear legal duty" to maintain at least 731 officers in the Minneapoli...

Re: Minneapolis staffing ‘crisis’ spreads as workers shot at, as

Has MPLS done anything to meet the number of police specified in their city charter? I thought the MN Supreme Court determined MPLS was in violation of the charter and ordered them to hire more police. I think they are down 300 or so officers below that specified in the city charter.
