Re: Thinking about a new gun.

I like the ergonomics on the M&P but the trigger leaves something to be desired, unless they have improved it. There are some after market parts available that get good reviews. Shooting them side by side is a great idea.

Re: Want to go single stage

Good info guys, thanks. I don't reload right now but it is on top of this winter's project list. I have a rock chucker in a box so that is what I'll start with. From my reading so far I'm leaning toward the LNL not too far down the road.

Re: Want to go single stage

That's going to be true of ANY press. Even the lnl single stage will need a custom bushing to make it the same length of the LNL AP. Ok, from watching the video I earlier in the thread I thought the LNL single stage and AP were compatible. Hornady missed the boat there. Here's a video on calibratin...

Re: Want to go single stage

Like I said before any of the bigger presses can take the conversion bushings don't go hornady just because it has the lnl bushing built in. My point wasn't that you had a fifty, but rather since the classic cast is capable of handling that, it makes resizing a breeze for something like 30-06, alth...

Re: Traveling with my handgun

Check out the "Gun Case Tether" on this site:
http://www.parmarng.org/freeidaho/AlSkDjFhG/index.html

It gives you the ability to cable your gun case to the inside of your suitcase.

Re: Defensive Handgun Tactics 2 Fri May 21st

Thanks again to Don and Mary. It was an excellent class, and a whole bunch of fun. Great group of folks to shoot with too.

Thanks for the pictures Evan.

Re: M&P Trigger Job, Step by Step

I agree that a light trigger wouldn't be desirable. But on the one here at home the first part of the pull is very gritty, and the reset just plain sucks, at least compared to my G19.

Re: M&P Trigger Job, Step by Step

I wonder why S&W doesn't put a decent trigger in from the factory.

I've been meaning to ask if anyone is using the Apex kit, sounds like its good to go. Time to put one in my DW's 9c.

Size 13 I could almost make two pairs of boots :)

You wouldn't need snowshoes -

You could walk on water -

Those are the comments I always get because 13 is the size I wear, I normally wear size 12, 13 leaves room for a couple socks.

Re: White bunny boots

Sportsman's Guide sometimes has them, just make sure they are the real item and not the Guide Gear knockoff. I take them winter camping. They are probably stiffer, heavier, and less comfortable than the new insulated boots. On the other hand if you go over your boot tops in water you know that your ...

I'll second that!

I thought it was excellent training and I think we covered a lot of material in an afternoon. Good stuff and fun to boot. I'm working on my calendar for DHT-2.
