Seeking Advice For Scope Rings 30 mm

Hi all, I just bought a Nightforce 12-42x56 Benchrest Scope and could use some scope ring advice. It has a 30 mm Tube. I'll be mounting it on a Savage 12 BR 6mm BR Norma with a 20 MOA Picatinny Rail. I'll be shooting it in International Benchrest Shooters 600 & 1000 Yd matches. I have to watch t...

Re: Small rifle primers

As of yesterday Scheels in Eden Prairie still had small rifle primers. Limit 200 primers per customer. Not trying to hijack your thread. Does anyone know if the Eden Praire Scheels have the electric mobility scooters to assist handicap shooters? Without one. I'm physically unable to walk more than ...

Re: T-Mobile Censorship

I too have T-Mobile. The only time I've been blocked going to ANY site that has the word "firearm" or "Gun" has been when I was in the UM Cancer Center Hospital, and was using their Wi-Fi. As soon as I disabled my network connection and switched back to my 4 LGTE system, the bloc...

Re: Second Saturday Breakfast is Back - New Location

Depending on my physical status, I'm hoping to make it to the breakfast. I'm supposed to complete my radiation treatments on the last Wednesday of January. But that may get pushed further out, because they may have to pause my treatments due to the radiation burns I'm getting on my lower belly. The ...

Re: 2021 is going to be a horrible year for gun rights

I fear that in the near future, it may come down to Voting from the Roof. It will be left up to us, those that know that the 2A and the Constitution, were written to limit the government's power, may have to show that we will NOT SIT IDLY BY, and allow ANYONE to trample upon our god given rights. I ...

Re: Objective Factors for Classifying Weapons with “Stabilizing

What's too heavy to be aimed with one arm, to a given individual, may be easily aimed by another. In my younger days, holding and aiming a 10-15 pound gun, would have been quite easy. Today, not even possible. Their definition was far too vague, and left it to a subjective number, of the person want...

Re: 300 PRC question for you Pro's

Bearcat, just thought you might like to also look into the .300 WSSM. I don't know the felt recoil (I've never personally fired one) but I know there are several top shooters in the Benchrest (IBS) that shoot this round, with good success at the 1000 yard targets.

Re: 300 PRC question for you Pro's

A joke amongst friends: a 308 will hit a wall at 800 yards, fall out of the sky, and have to tumble the rest of the way to 1000 yards. > > > > With a RPR Magnum, you can switch barrels and bolt-head between cartridges with a GO gage and a couple of wrenches. Did you ever try or research...

Re: AR10 upper to lower receiver fit is loose.

Upper to lower fit on a AR style rifle isn't that critical. Tightening the two halves won't increase strength or improve accuracy. Slop between the two is at worse an annoyance. Having said all that, the easiest way to eliminate the slop is to bed the lower receiver with something like JB Wield. Wh...
