Considering this is the only state that Rubio won in the primaries/caucuses, I wouldn't hold my breath on Trump being the one to flip the state red. Crazier things have happened though.

The ruling stinks for sure, but some people need to take a breath. The ruling did not outlaw concealed carry, it stated that the 2nd amendment does not guarantee the right to do so. The decision to actually outlaw it is still up to your state. And unless the Supreme Court agrees, the decision only a...

Re: Joining Dakota County club - should I?

Ghost wrote:Surprised by the no covers, can I bring an ez up if I so choose?

Someone asked about that at my orientation. Yes you can bring your own, at least according to the guy that did our orientation.

He also said none of the frames have canopies because the wind has destroyed them all in short order.

Well this definitely is concerning. I attended new member orientation the other day. I left feeling comfortable with the rules and facility. It could definitely use improvements, but I understand not wanting to invest a bunch of money when they are on 1 year leases. We were told they can be evicted ...

I just sent in my acceptance on Friday. I was expecting to wait another year or two, so I was pleasantly surprised. This will be my first gun club membership, so I have nothing to compare to. Casual is what I am hoping for.

Wear respirators when you shoot. When you are done, immediately take off and wash your clothes and take a shower. That's the best alternative I can think of.

If you are using lead free bullets, I think the environmental impact is very close to nonexistant.

I think one obvious aspect of "in the business" is profit. If you buy a gun for $500, then sell it a week later for $450 because you just don't like the gun (and do this multiple times a year), it will be pretty hard to argue that you are running a business.

I got the GOCRA email as well. They are pretty much considering this a clear victory for permit holders. The email title is, "Target Says NO to Bloomberg Bullies."

I sent mine in as well. I hope we receive some kind of acknowledgement so we don't have to wonder if we got on the list or not.

Re: SR 45?

I've only put 100 rounds through mine so far, but there were quite a few failures. Two light strikes even though I thoroughly cleaned the striker channel, 5 fte and 3 ftf. All 100 rounds were Magtech 230gr fmj, so I'm hoping the gun will like the taste of other brands better. If not, it will be goin...

Re: Mapping Handgun Purchases in Eagan

As an Eagan resident, I am very pleased that my PD took care of this so quickly.

Thanks yukonjasper!

Re: Mapping Handgun Purchases in Eagan

I forget the exact wording, but it was something like "permit handgun purchase"

Re: Mapping Handgun Purchases in Eagan

They are showing applications for permits to purchase. My house shows up on the date I applied for my PTP.

I expected the PD to keep this info on file, but I am not pleased that they are publishing it. Even though the full address isn't given, the map location is spot on for my house.

Re: Is the panic over?

I was at FF Lakeville today, and as of 3:30 there were maybe 50 boxes of 100rnd WWB 9mm. That's the first time I've seen 9mm in stock at FF on a Saturday afternoon in a long time. A good sign I'd say...
