Are cheaps**t laser sights worth it?

All lasers are cheap range toys. If you don’t trust your sights in the dark, get night sights. If you don’t think you can see night sights, you won’t be able to see a laser.

3D printing

Hey everyone, I’m starting to get interested in 3D printing. It seems most discussions and information is from 2013 or so, which seems about 100 years ago in terms of the technology. Are many people doing much 3D printing? I am currently looking at the Creality Ender 3. It seems to be a trade off in...

Bump fire stocks

I’m probably missing it, but can anyone clarify when this is in affect? Is it officially right now illegal to own a bump stock, or is it the end of next month?

Safe space

Personally at your current point i would be building a safe room. Few grand and lots of rebar and concrete. Used bank safe door if i could find one. I’ve actually been looking at building a safe room quite a bit. I’ve finally decided that cinder block/concrete/rebar room in my basement will probabl...

Safe space

As a millennial, this is something I’ve been giving a lot of thought to lately. Apparently everyone else is too, because I see it in the news all the time. I have a fairly nice superior brand safe, but of course, it’s running out of room. They don’t give these away though. I think I paid around $3k ...

Steel targets

Hey Everyone, Does anyone store their steel targets outside? I generally like to keep everything stored inside, but I have a yard big enough to shoot in now. It is very convenient to keep the steel set up, and just shoot when I have a few spare minutes here and there. Steel is a little bit of an inv...

Gun Owners Rally @ The Capitol April 28th, 2018

Just to confirm, everything is kosher to carry at this event? Sounds like it, I just want to know the full situation before I show up. You're free to do as you choose but I'd strongly suggest that we let the photo opportunities from the rally be about numbers in attendance and the normalcy of the g...

Fleet Farm changes advertising policies for scary rifles

Ehh, this is enough for me to add to the boycott list. Not a huge deal, but plenty.

Is .357 Magnum the most versatile modern caliber?

Rmfcasey wrote:How about 45 colt. you have a large range of options if you have a gun with the long .410 chamber.

While 45 colt out of a 410 works, generally it doesn’t work all that great. Lots of free space between the projectile and rifling.

Entry Level Semi-Auto Shotgun?

Having never shot one before, I recommend the mossberg 930. From everything I can read online, it seems like the most solid gun for the money. I’ll own one eventually, just haven’t made it that far yet. Call or email southwest and they will set you up.

I'm discouraged...

I am feeling discouraged about our chances right now as well. I have yet to join mn gun owners caucus though. It’s been on my todo list, but I’ll donate today. Anyone else I should donate too? Already a goa member. (Unfortunately I’m also an NRA life member)

how to carry a handgun in texas

I did an AZ permit specifically for visiting Texas. I’m glad I did. AZ was easy, and I feel more likely to go to AZ than FL.

S&W Performance Center Revolver

The problem with most of the PC revolvers is they aren’t always in stock at the distributors. But, send an email with what you’re looking for to southwestarms@gmail.com and John will check prices for you.
