I cant grasp the thought process.

If you carry empty chamber and chamber a round just prior to fireing how do you know the round you just chambered didnt just setback :?

My confusion is setback occurs while chambering so unless you never chamber around your risk of setback would be the same chambered round or carrying chamber empty and then chambering a round prior to fireing, Either way you have to chamber a round at somepoint if you want to shoot the gun correct?...

Wasn't trying to be clever just stating the facts. Same here. The fact is that .45ACP has some setback issues, and thus why I don't carry one in the chamber. How does one fire the gun if you never chamber a round? :? My take away is once you chamber a 45 acp- just assume the gun is going to kaboom ...

Twasnt me I only shot Sams 50 :didntdoit:

But as long as we are here, The 50 uses a rebated rim so can I shoot 45acp out of the 50 barrel :stirthepot:

Owned 3 XDs before switching to M&Ps only thing I didnt like as already mentioned the high bore axis,
IMHO it made recoil a little more and also made it feel top heavy in the hand YMMV
