Re: New Hunting Knife

That must have been a fairly big favor. I would probably keep something like that in the safe and use a beater knife.

Re: A thought on "rules"

Seems the best way to eliminate the drama and the complaining on all fronts is to eliminate the marketplace :hmm: Or just get rid of the market place rules, or majority of them. That way it wouldn't require much moderation, and people could argue, go off topic, bump or go about trying to sell/buy/t...

http://www.businessinsider.com/marines-reissue-1911-colt-45-because-the-9-mm-has-no-balls-2012-8 They should just carry .357 Coonans or .50AE Desert Eagles and give up on the wimpy .45ACP. If you're shooting at a motivated target, and you don't hit vitals, that target will just keep coming. No @#$%...

Re: A thought on "rules"

If you want a static bland marketplace, armslist.com already exists. Mods could just do away with the entire forum and new rules and just hotlink to it.

Re: A thought on "rules"

While I can appreciate the much more active presence of our overlords, I can't help but think their recent proclivity for warnings with sparse or nonexistent explanation is somewhat counterproductive. I was told to "take a week off" because I insulted someone who was insulting other forum...

Re: Stippling a Glock.........

I would think a woodburning kit with all the different tips would be preferable to a soldering iron. With a normal soldering iron with a conical tip, about the best you could do is make it look like it had a horrible case of smallpox, and then paint it that zombie green color... A woodburning iron ...

Soldering iron is what most folks use. I've done it and it's somewhat of an art and very time consuming unless you have a lot of practice...especially the job you've linked to.

Re: Palmetto State Armory AR

I'm in the market for my first AR so I went to Bill's today to fondle some different brands... I came across a PSA that seemed pretty nice, couldn't tell any difference between that and the DPMS that was $100 more or the Bushmaster that was $200 more... Anyone have experience with PSA? Is there any...

Re: Gunstop closing, ah not really , see below

My buddy is looking at the Barrett, already has 3 but it is just $10,499 for the one they are selling, a steal, he tells me. I'll stay with my $600 GLOCKS, and M&Ps, maybe the $1,000 SIG, but that's it for me. If you're talking about a base M82A1 $10K is not a steal by any means. This thread sh...
