I've been nosing around in stores and on the internet for a bolt action rifle in .308 Winchester. I see plenty of .30-06's, .270's, and a variety of 300's --- but very few .308's.

Is it just my imagination?

Was the decision to discontinue guns sales based on profits or a response to pressure from gun control groups?

Is it just the metro area Wal Marts that have stopped selling firearms, or is the change statewide?

Shall we say Old Chicago on Monday July 30 at 11:30?

Monday, Thursday, and Friday of next week (July 30 - August 3) are wide open for me.
