There must be something about the area and guns. When I lived in so MPLS we had a neighbor who was a Machinist at Ford. his garage was better equiped than most any machine shop I have seen. His fancy was making miniture guns that worked. he made a .25ACP version of a MP 40 that worked, it was about ...

Who hunts ? and what ?

Who here hunts? Are you just a shooter with a carry permit? Do you hunt, if so, what flavors? Waterfowl, Upland, Deer, varmint, Bear Moose? other Big game? If you do hunt, where do you hunt, private land, public, leased etc. lets sorta build a data base of active hunters here. I will go first. I wou...

Re: Dillon 550 vs Hornady Lock n Load AP

I want to be the person who posts that the all time ultimate end-all be-all of reloading in the cities is John Boy Walton out at Gunstop. I must say that more twenty years later I still call him asking for help, guidance and knowledge. He knows his stuff, he does not push any sale on you, and he wil...

Taurus are great for the money, and some dealers still have them at the lower prices. I have always liked the wa...

Re: Privacy Settings

it was started when Joel invited some press members in and also, I think, started getting some vibes that some trojan horse profiles were showing up. He would look at posts over time plus personal recommendations by others that so and so was a legit gunny and not a tin hat type nor a mole and send o...

Re: 1911 Safety Question

I agree, I was trying to just bring out that wanna be's on film are not very often versed in the real life repercussions of their actions.

USUALLY troops are. they see real damage caused by real bullets and go "ohhhhhh I wanna be careful"

Re: 1911 Safety Question

I do not want this to become thread drift or list of bad things in movies, but, FOR the most part, the Movies have nothing to do with reality as it relates to anything mechanical. The same people who give us the automatic transmission that shifts like a stick shift, the airplane that immediately wan...
