Re: The Recipe Box

IDK what a roux is though. its the base of flour cooked in grease, when its diluted, it will not clump up and make lumpy sauce. It can be darn near any grease, and I use regular bread flour, but corn starch will work if you looking to avoid glutens. WHen the flour cooks a little bit in the grease, ...

First experience w/ guns, & does it affect your choices now

My first experience and one of my earliest memories is watching my mom shoot bunnies in the garden and then my brother and I racing out to see who got to haul it into the house for her to clean....She had a .22 savage pump, I still have it. For years I carried that gun everywhere I hunted, and now m...

Re: Heather has been heard from again

Tman. I believe the numbers were used only to say that Heathers insistance that only LEO's could be trusted, in fact, the permitted individual is caught 13 times less often than LEO's breaching the standards of carry. There are trustworty LEO's out there, far more than crooked ones, but like the per...

Cobb, exactly. My 870 has been in a set of those for a decade, it took my wife three years to discover, and she gets stuff in and out of the closet a dozen times a day...

Re: Shotgun wall mount

I use hand rail brackets. Right size. About a 45 degree angle holds the gun with no issues and I just use hockey tape as a padding. Cheap too

Re: Lookin for new stock for older remington 700

If you just want stock, call Ahlmans in morristown. They had a few hundred IIRC from when the craze was to get everything fitted with synthetic. If you just want a synthetic replacement, all you have to look for is a LA for long action, 700 stock, they're all the same.
