Re: Orion Arms in Lino Lakes

I used Ident Marking down in TX. Great job and it cost me around $70. I've heard Orion was a little higher on their price

Re: DNR Confiscated Gun Auction

It was a BPS. The DNR auctions don't have much for deals, you need to try their other auctions that happen to have guns on the list. You can get better deals if its what you're looking for.

Re: 9mm high pressure signs for beginning reloaders

They just have the normal firing pin marks. Not striker fired.

Re: 9mm high pressure signs for beginning reloaders

Not sure exactly, but all of the IMI brass I've found won't size. Nasty bulge above the web. Are Uzi chambers on the big side?

Re: 9mm high pressure signs for beginning reloaders

I did some reading on those 9mm carb cases. Seems they're loaded for the Uzis and they're good at blowing up pistols, especially berettas, from what I've read.

Re: 9mm high pressure signs for beginning reloaders

I have a whole two years reloading experience and the only 9mm cases I've had trouble with are the 9mm carb with an IMI head stamp. I try to not pick up cases that aren't mine as well to avoid problems in the future.

Re: Opinions on coloring AR parts

I used my Iwata Eclipse airbrush and Iwata air compressor. Total overkill but you can use something a lot cheaper to spray Duracoat.

Re: Opinions on coloring AR parts

I sprayed duracoat on one of mine, pretty easy to do. Seems to be holding up well. Making sure the metal is clean is the important part.

Re: first build

Started out with a stripped lower. Going to be an SBR when I get my stamp.

Re: first build

Probably be a couple weeks before I shoot it again. Going up to Baudette Wednesday for the weekend. And I forgot that I painted it with Duracoat Magpul FDE. Pretty easy to use, just don't mix it in a small, clear Dixie cup.

Re: first build

I have shot it. It worked, too! Pretty proud of myself that it didn't take any tinkering to run right. Now after I get my tax stamp I can put a stock on it.
