I want to shoot TX hogs. What gear?

I like the idea of 300BLK for an eventual suppressor. Since that isn't in the total budget how does the round do at supersonic velocities?

I think I'm probably just going to get a .308.

I want to shoot TX hogs. What gear?

Requirements: 1) cost effective. I'd like to be <$2k for a pig gun and optic. Maybe this will see a little range use but primarily just annual pig shooting 2) auto loader. Preferably AR platform, because they are cool. 3) readily available ammo. I've never reloaded for a rifle. I'd like off the s...

caliber and round for white tails

It's been a while since I've been out but I've had pretty good success taking deer with the 3.8 (liter).

School me on 9mm AR's.

JP GMR13 uses Glock mags. It's what I'd like to own.

NRA Pistol Inst class in AZ, 10-24/25

Thought you also retired from NRA training? :D Good that you did not, you need to keep busy and people need access to quality instructors as yourself. I keep getting requests for "one more class". However, as you may know, there are big changes coming in the NRA instructional world, chang...

Autopsy of a Rifle: DPMS Oracle

TL;DR. I'd like to buy an AR. I'm not a face shooter or 3 gunner. I'm cost sensitive but buy quality tools when I do buy. What brand or AR (aside from the very expensive brands I've read about like LaRue, Noveske, etc) do I buy?

Northfield man possession of a machine gun

This is the Internet. We judge first and maybe look at the facts later if it is convenient.

I would be surprised if it turns out to be an honest mistake and case of drilling the wrong hole. If that was the case, how did come to the attention of the authorities?

Debates on 2A?

I assume you are questioning Cobb's assertation (post 26). Since this is the Internet and everyone gets an opinion, I'll say that I think that (i) it is foolish to dismiss a large portion of the voter base and (ii) voters use a lot of dumb reasons to vote for (not vote for) a candidate (see Obama ph...
