Since this is my 1st competition to observe, can someone give me a synopsis of what takes place besides the shooting part? Like, how many lanes shot at a time, etc..? To my understanding, this is a 1000 yard comp. Correct?

What does a 175gr bullet get up to out of a 10" barrel? If memory serves, the 308 loses ~50fps per inch from 24" to 18". More velocity is lost per inch shorter than 18" and less longer than 24". I would bet it wouldn't be much if any over 2000fps. If someone has a chrono, w...
