Re: Greetings

Welcome from Shakopee. Once again I'm told to get a 1911. Now which one to I get? You just pulled my string Pez. ;) Some purists may disagree with me but as long as you have the 3 S's you are fine. S teel S ingle action S ingle stack Some folks like alloy frames but the additional mass of a steel f...

Re: Greetings

Mostly Inrange in Monticello but in warmer months I can be found at Monticello Rod and Gun and even though it's not my first choice I rarely turn down an offer to meet at Bills.

Re: wheelguns

There's a practical aspect in addition to the 'cool factor'. Malfunction clearing in a semi usually involves tap, rack, bang (or reassess). In a revolver you just squeeze again.

Re: New NH Denominator

I had the opportunity to shoot a friends NH not too long ago. It put the extra o's in smooooooth. The front checkering doesn't trip my trigger but I can see how some like it. Those grips are sharp though.

Re: Moving Long Guns?

You can get shipping tubes form your local UPS/FedEx store. Measure the longarms first so you know what size to get. Make sure you pad them well and a staple through the end cap will make sure it doesn't fall off and create an embarrassing moment.

Re: .30 Remington AR

I read the article too and it looks pretty neat but it struck me more of an answer looking for a question. But the cool new thing seems to be make an upper for every everything so why not? I even came across a belt fed 12ga upper on YT.

Re: Reloading 9mm Luger and a few questions

I'm a newbie loader too Stesch. I have the Speer manual and I actually read it too but I get most of my recipes from a previously mentioned powder manufacturers website. I'm loading .300WinMag, .38SP, 9x19 and .45ACP. Buget is a HUGE factor for me so I use a Lee 1000 for the pistol calibers and it's...

Re: Greetings

We 1911 guys can hang out where ever we want, the party just follows us around. So where are you located and what do you shoot? I'm in Albertville, for some reason that is not showing under my avatar, will fix later. Currently if you stumble across me at the range I'll probably have a Colt Series 8...

Re: agents choose to carry personal weapons instead of Kimber

Even though I don't agree with the wording, NDB_MN isn't completely off the mark. Having a simple system can be a great advantage. I have a Colt Series 80 with over 100,000rds through it that I wouldn't trade for anything coming out of Austria (we can talk about the right HK though ;) ) but when my ...

Greetings

Just got directed here from one of your members in another forum. I'll leave the name out to protect the guilty but I'm glad he pointed me here. Now, where do the 1911 guys hang out?
