Re: Looking for womens-only basic pistol class recommendations

Last night, my wife went to the Ladies Pistol Night event at Bald Eagle Sportsman's Association in Hugo, run by Terrie Williams and had a great time, was able to get assistance with a couple minor miscues and get some great instruction in a supportive environment, and saw a marked improvement in he...

Re: LnL AP Vs 550 or 650

I am thinking the 650 or LnL would be best and will probably load about 1000 to 2000 same caliber rounds per set up. Thanks "crbutler" you are correct about the prices if you add the case feeders it is about $60 more for the 650 vs the LnL. (Did not think about it but will probably add on...

Re: LnL AP Vs 550 or 650

different calibers on the LNL AP vs the Dillon machines needing multiple toolheads in order to achieve similar speed. ... to be fair, the LNL-AP package only comes with 3 LNL bushings ... more, ain't cheap! ... in the end, I'd guess 3 - 4 bushings for every new die set is about the same as a new to...

Re: LnL AP Vs 550 or 650

I just went through the same choice and picked the LNL AP. Same here; my prior experience is all with a single stage, so there was a lot of research to do. My research (once I got past the fanboyism on both sides and found information that seemed objective) indicated that from a quality standpoint,...

Re: Primer BOHICA!

Sam is 100% right that if republican candidates want to get anywhere, they need to drop the "religious right" issues. As a financially conservative, socially liberal gun owner, I haven't felt as though I had a good choice at the polls in MANY years. Both parties have major flaws IMO. I can...

Re: How do I decide on a reliable hand gun?

To the OP: if for some reason the many offers of help already put forth in this thread don't work out for you, another good option would be to contact Terrie Williams: http://www.trainingoptionsllc.com/Home_Page.html She's another local instructor who occasionally runs Women on Targe...

Re: Home owners insurance & reloading

Interesting question, and one I had honestly never considered before. My brain just filed it under "it's perfectly legal, what issue could insurers possibly have with it?" I look forward to the replies of more knowledgeable people...

Re: reloading stuff at Blaine fleet farm

No joy on primers this morning @ Oakdale. I even got somebody to look in the back for them. They had more pistol ammo on the shelf than the last time I was there, but still no 9mm. Their reloading aisle is sort of half set up. Quite a bit of Hornady and RCBS equipment, dies, some bullets & brass...

Thanks for the heads-up on that; I'll make sure to look there and/or track down an employee to ask.

Re: reloading stuff at Blaine fleet farm

Fleet farm in Hudson has CCI SPP in stock Today. 31.99 per 1000. They now have a thousand less though.... Also had magnums and rifle primers but I didn't buy any. They had a whole aisle of stuff, mostly empty waiting for lots of new stuff coming. Powder was coming next week my friend who works ther...

Re: Was there an Oakdale match tonight?

Sweet, thanks for putting them up. Looks like that no-shoot I hit was my only penalty on the stage, so I guess hooray? :P

Re: Was there an Oakdale match tonight?

I see this week's scores got posted, but last week's didn't. Did you ever find out what happened to last week's scores? On some level, it's not like I'm remotely close to winning, but I'd like to know how badly DRILLING that no-shoot's head hurt me on the long stage. :)
