Shooters that started at BPR Winter League

I was just wondering how many folks out there that shoot USPSA or IDPA matches got their start in the Burnsville Pistol Range Winter League. I know of one that I see here occasionally, but I'm curious if there are more. FWIW, our first match was December, 1995, and we've held the matches every winte...

Re: Winter Practical Pistol at Burnsville Pistol Range

There's no way of telling except by counting the folks that call ahead. We've had so many they had to stand in the hallway (I think the room capacity is 20) and as few as two. If you come, it will be at least one! ;)

Re: Dillon Beefs Up the 550

Wonder if they'd upgrade my 550 for free??

Other than his history being skewed, it was an interesting report.

Thanks, BD.

Re: Burnsville Practical Pistol Winter League

Hoping to get back on the pony for the next match. I have a rules question though. I managed to dislocate my pinky finger on my strong hand. Is it OK to buddy tape my finger and shoot the match? Not sure if this would run afoul of any of the rules, and I am looking at a several month recovery based...

Re: My move to the Tucson, AZ area is complete

Good luck to you, Bob. As a "displaced" Arizona boy, I can appreciate what you're getting.

And if someone tells you to "shake your shoes before putting them on," believe them! [I didn't...once!]

Re: Glock 42... it's too late for me, save yourself

... You might want to leave it with the slide locked back for about two weeks, just to break in the recoil spring assembly. I can be rather stiff. Interesting. I've never heard (or had to do) that. If you can provide a source for that info, could you let me know, please? PM if you prefer. That came...

Re: Glock 42... it's too late for me, save yourself

Get a holster, spare mags and mag carriers, and shoot it as much as you can. If you can, shoot it in a match where they let you enter that caliber (not any USPSA match, but Burnsville Pistol Range Winter League permits it). [Disclaimer: I'm the match director, but get no money for doing it.]

Depends how many people show up before you. It also helps if you've pre-registered (which I think closes tomorrow - Wednesday).

The best time (smallest crowds) is Sunday AM.

Re: Faribault Rifle and Pistol Club

Anyone a member? I'm thinking about becoming a member and have a few questions. 1. Since they do USPSA and IDPA events. I assume rapid fire, holster work, etc. is ok? 2. What are the pistol bays like? Decent condition? Not a muddy mess all the time? 3. Is there room on the rifle range to do some no...
