Re: Evil Black Rifle photo thread

Nice looking rifle! What does 17 HMR ammo go for these days? I’ve always wanted one since the cartridge came out, but somehow never got one.

Maybe I need to fix that someday…

Re: commerce dept soliciting holster sales information

I am glad the holsters per gun issue got settled, I had a hard time getting to sleep last night with that unresolved. Seriously though, why would the feds do this? Presumably they can access state carry permit databases, can't they? Are they cross-referencing holster sales vs. permit lists to find ...

Re: Barrel scope around town?

Another point on a borescope is that there is a pretty steep learning curve related to interpretation of the images. I’ve looked at bores and thought various things, then have a gunsmith look at the same thing and tell me I was all wet. The biggest reason I use one is to see if I got the barrel cle...

Re: Barrel scope around town?

Barrel damage could cause poor accuracy, but it wouldn't cause the numbers. I've heard the stories about pins down the barrel, but I've never experienced it. I wet tumbled with pins for 10 years or so while shooting at a fairly high level, and never saw anything like that actually happen in my guns ...

Re: Guy stabs five river tubers, one fatally, Apple River, WI

I have to admit that this story turned out to be a lot different than where my assumptions led me when I first saw the news story on Sunday before any details had come out. After learning more details, I have some questions: Was the knife guy actually with another group of people? If so, where were ...

Re: Can someone refresh my memory on the MN Gun Rights group?

The Dorr brothers thing. I remember hearing that this was a scam of some sort, but don't recall the details. This came up in conversation today when a friend told me that he supported them and heard that MN GOC was the scam, so I attempted to set him straight. Any specifics or details about these g...

Not really. You going to prove me wrong?

Re: Minneapolis Bans Police Use of No-Knock Warrants

Advocating for it. Gotta keep up with your reading. Well that isn't what you typed. I don't read every thread here. Also, you are tossing around words like "everyone" and "we" pretty loosely. Assumptions are made when folks stand by and say nothing. Man, you must make a lot of d...
