Re: place to shoot in or near forest lake?

She shot pretty good the other day for the shooting part. I'm guessing, at a range that did not have the " Hunter's Safety " requirement?! http://smile.krok.us/gi-thumbs-up.gif Not nessesarily. Oakdale has a DNR requirement when open to the public, however member can bring...

Re: Going prone at Oakdale?

As far as moving benches on the 200' range at Oakdale, well good luck.....they're CONCRETE and HEAVY!   Isn't that why we bought the BobCat? :D You know, I'm not sure the BobCat can fit under the covered portion of the 200. In fact, I'd bet a can of soda from the vending machines at...

Re: deer pistol poll

What are you trying to gain out of this poll? If you wanted to know what S&W pistol to take then just list them. Some of your other groupings are like asking whether people perfer a compact hybrig or a 3/4 ton pick up and only giving the option of Chevy. Thanks fer logging in, today! Whatever, ...

Re: rifle capacity for deer hunting?

Pretty sure everyone has their own rifle capacity for deer hunting. Of course it depends on the size, weight, carry method, strenght of the individual carrying and a few other factors. For myself I am thinking 5. I could probably figure out how to strap 3 on my back and carry another 1 in each hand.

Re: Plano Gun cases

I dunno, a size 10 boot with force seems like a light day for the bagage handlers I have seen around MSP.

Re: WTB Duck & Goose Decoys - Layout Blinds

Thanks. What makes it worse is the Sherriff didn't have much confidence that they'd be able to do much to recover what was stolen. The boats-trailers etc. were old and because we used them for duck hunting they weren't registered - so we don't have serial numbers etc. basically not traceable. Also,...

Re: The Must Have Guns, part II

This for rifle, its a best grade H&H in .303, which would make it a great gun for almost anything besides the big stuff and therefore, something one could use..... http://www.csmcspecials.com/v/vspfiles/photos/21544-2.jpg http://www.csmcspecials.com/v/vspfiles/photos...

Re: The Must Have Guns, part II

I was thinkin an AC-130. That is not a gun - thats GUNS... Back to reality: A Kreighoff Double in 375 H&H would be my fantasy gun... Anything else is just fooling around. Shot Machine Guns for a long time - the thrill is gone. I could see that though mine would be in .416 Rigby with a Custom fi...
