Re: California cannot require background checks to buy ammunitio

Constitutional question: has it ever been argued that two provisions of the constitution are fundamentally in conflict? Because I could see Kalifornia claiming that the entire Second Amendment conflicts with the mandate of the government to establish peace, order and safety. Not that they'd be right...

Re: NRA Board Member Slams Leadership in Letter Calling for Imme

Hear hear!

The NRA leadership has for far too long viewed its members as simply a source of money, much like too many Republicans view gun owners as simply a source of votes; in neither case giving much back.

What is your recommendation for Wyoming to reduce its suicide rate?

It isn't "impose prior restraint after deciding that some people can't be trusted with firearms".

Trump to address NRA

Currently scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the Great American Outdoor Show on February 9, 2024, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Frankly I'm unaware of Trump doing much of anything to support gun owners; I do remember he went along with bump stock bans. Can we expect any real support from Trump on g...

Re: 2A Danger to Americans: Ukraine Embracing Gun Control

Veterans with guns have been the ultimate expression of freedom from the 1688 Glorious Revolution onward. The USA began as a victorious rebel army that had thrown off the authority of a government that it regarded as tyrannical and not serving the peoples' best interests. The armed mass of the popul...

Re: Full U.S. appeals court to consider Maryland assault weapons

Has anyone tried the argument that reserving a class of weapons solely to government actors places a state in violating the Compact Clause (Article 1, Section 10, third clause), by creating a standing force with a privilege of arms denied the citizenry?

Re: Federal judge rules it unconstitutional to ban guns from pos

Back when a lot of rural areas had the local general store double as an official US post office, they would literally make a federal case out of it if the store got robbed. I remember reading about the case of some poor stupid bastard who ended up doing decades in the federal pen for the trivial amo...

Okay, that second link looks like the same page that I filled out so I'm hoping all is well.

Re: Is this email legit?

It linked to a petition your congresspersons on the subject of the veteran gun ban. Seemed straightforward enough, and heavily used the GOA name and graphics. But it somehow didn't look quite like the ones that GOA has sent me before. It was only then that I doublechecked the email origin address.

Is this email legit?

It purports to be from Erich Pratt and Gun Owners of America. However the actual source of the email is GOA@gunownerusa. That isn't those jerks from Iowa is it?
