Re: 22lr ammo shortage

$80 a brick is a steal on G-broker! This is one of the better deals you'll find on Gunbroker, 525 rounds of Federal 22lr for $65. The guy is in Maple Lake so you might not even have to pay shipping. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=337037705 Dang, I just let another member have a...

Re: Ammo shortage, now reloading supply shortage!

I was also looking for 4831 (no), 4895 (no), 296 (no) and 231 (no) If you are in dire need of H-4895 (and have an empty bottle) I can let you have a pound. I found an 8lb bottle from a guy getting out of loading rifle loads. I'm in Edina and if it will help, PM me and come by and I'll pour you a po...

Re: Ammo shortage, now reloading supply shortage!

I was at the Scheels in Mankato Friday and did manage to get two pounds of IMR-700X, and tried to get Power Pistol but they were out. I did suggest to the salesman that they should take the bottles off the shelf if it's out of stock, and he said he would pass that suggestion on to his manager. It wo...

Re: Re: Re: Carry Ammo

I shoot up my carry ammo every month or so. YMMV Maybe you should only buy 1 box per month. :P  Or do you plan to loose over 20 rounds at one time during your dynamic critical incident? ;) ETA, Oh, saw you were breaking in the shield. Nice! :) I usually just reload what I shoot. You have a...

Re: Okay, rather than complain. Lets do this!!!

I am seriously searching for Small Pistol primers for a friend. He is new to reloading and I set him up with everything else. If anyone know where to get 1000 let me know. And no I will not pay $80/k. Thanks. I could help him out with 500 if that helps? I paid $40 for 1000 and he can have 500 for $...

Re: 50 GI Load Data

I'm picking up a GI Model 3 this weekend and will have a new caliber to reload. It appears published loads for this caliber are scarce to non-existant. The closest I've found is a 4 year old thread on the 50GI forum that are supposedly loads recommended by Guncrafter and some data on handloads.com....

Re: Ammo shortage, now reloading supply shortage!

Friday, the Cabelas in Owantanna only had 50 Bmg powder and 2 pounds of IMR-800X and Zero primers. I did stumble onto one box of Berrys .410 SWC that I needed. It was the only projectiles I could use that they had. They did have a rather large supply of .556 Nato, .223, .308 and .40 S&W ammo on ...

Re: Post em up! Let's see those reloading benches

Absolutely Beautiful setup RT. I always thought a stainless bench would be nice and your setup proved my theory. I would love to have a dedicated reloading / gun room. Once both my boys are finished with their college and they move out on their own, one room will become Big Dog's Reloading and Gun H...

Re: WTB: Lee Dies for 9mm and .308

I just picked up a Lee 308 Factory Crimp Die today, only to discover that my backordered one was also shipped today. You can have it for my cost $14.50 if you like. PM me to make arrangements if you want it.

Re: Reloading

So my Lee Classic Turret press arrived today and I have quick question regarding the auto-indexing rod. Every time it rotates the turret there is a small click sound coming from the rod (not the turret plate). It is definitely the sound of the small plastic square rotating the indexing rod. Is this...

Re: Reloading

Any comments on the Lee Classic Turret Kit? I like the idea of a turret press as it's simpler than a progressive press, not as much money but a bit more speed than a single-stage. I've gathered that the Lee press isn't top-notch but with the number of rounds I am expecting to reload (200-300 per we...

Re: Not a single round reloaded, but today "I got it"

Shot 40 rounds of 45-70 400 grain jsp flat nose from the rio grand today. I use the one-at-time-whack-with-a-hammer Lee loader. This is freakin fun stuff. My son and I are saving pennies to take Oldman up on his offer for training. It will be the Best "Pennies" the two of you ever investe...

Re: Not a single round reloaded, but today "I got it"

I quit shooting my 30 Carbine last Wed at my gun club because it ejects the brass forward. Which was out into some very sloppy mud. I didn't like digging through mud trying to recover my brass. I did receive my Wet Tumbler Friday with the Stainless Pins. I desided to do my first batch with some extr...
