Re: Background Checks Compromise

This is only part as to what is going on now in the Senate. This is in an email from Gun Owners of America So, here's where we are. Right after the Senate proceeded to the gun control bill, Harry Reid used his privileged recognition to put a bunch of amendments in place. In Senate parlance, they are...

Re: PETA Wants to Fly Drones to Stalk Hunters

Don't know why farmers have to kill animals............ Don't know why hunters have to kill animals............ If you want meat, just go to a store and buy it. Don't kill animals. (VERY SARCASTIC STATEMENTS to people who do not understand.) http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/oldh...

Re: U.S. Government Changes Stance, U.N. Gun Treaty Passes

IIRC, the problem with this treaty is that Mexico could file a grievance with the UN about arms flowing across our border with them and our government would be obligated to do something to stop it. Like, passing laws against straw man purchases? That's a good idea. We should do that. What exactly w...

Re: How bad ARE Universal BC's

Nothing different then one of the first bills that went through here in Minnesota. Thankfully it was dropped. The one I liked was the one where if you died your so called assault rifle had to be turned into the police. :( :( :o

Re: ATF seeks database to log personal information, connections

It goes beyond that....the government is also the prime mover behind the broad-based institution of the electronic health record that your doctor uses. They currently provide financial incentives to doctors to use such a record (paying them $18,000 this year to do so, for example). That amount decr...

Re: UN Arms: “United States would vote “yes” on the treaty”

"Anti-gun treaty proponents continue to mislead the public, claiming the treaty would have no impact on American gun owners. That's a bald-faced lie. For example, the most recent draft treaty includes export/import controls that would require officials in an importing country to collect inform...

Re: Obama use Executive power to move gun control forward

Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. No doctor is going to ask me about guns in my home. If he does I'll tell him to f***k off. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability an...

Re: The surrenderers

How did they get a list of gun owners? How would they know they were talking to a gun owner when taking this poll? How was the poll worded? Any members of this forum called on this poll?

Press conference today at noon

Did any body else watch the news conference today at the Capitol? Looks like gun control is not dead. At least according to the Democrats. News media was all over the subject. Senator Haydon implied it was not dead and would still be on the agenda. The media seemed fixated on those living in the sub...
