Re: Pheasant hunting with my Daughter

We will not be going on public land. I have had bad experiences doing that. We have permission to hunt the 80 acres surrounding our property. And permission to hunt another 500 acres a mile up the road. Being friendly to your neighbors pays off.

Re: Pheasant hunting with my Daughter

That is really nice of you. I will check the calendar and get back to you. the wife just told me that she is jealous that she won't be able to hunt with us this weekend. She has always wanted to try it. So I will probably take her out next weekend. Spend some quality time with her as well. Moving ou...

Pheasant hunting with my Daughter

Well pheasant opens on saturday. I have been waiting for a while. Time to put down my bow for a couple days and get some pheasants. Which is exciting enough as it is, but my daughter has shown a lot of interest in hunting. At first I thought it was just BS, but she really wants to try it all. So we ...

Re: Boycott Joe's

I don't go there, but not because I am boycotting them. Because its a long ways from my house. I think boycotting them because they reserve the right to ask questions if something seems wrong is stupid. Now if they refused to sell more than 500 rounds to everyone, then fine. I would agree. Until the...

Re: 2012 grouse report

I am not a grouse hunter. But I saw a lot of them this past weekend in the chengwatana state forest. Took my dog for a walk to explore the area. he scared up quite a few. Who says a bulldog can't be a hunting dog. Lol

Re: Boycott Joe's

Maybe I am missing something in the article. Why are you boycotting Joe's? Because they reserve the right to ask questions if something doesn't seem right?

Re: Apprentice Hunter Validation

My wife just recently decided that she wants to hunt for sure this year. She realized she can't find a hunters safety course. So she will also be doing the apprentice hunter. Glad I built a big stand. 8x8. Plenty of room. She already picked up her tag.

Re: How far out of the cities to shoot?

Depends on the city/township you are in. They have ordinances for inside their limits. Size of the property. . . Enough to be safe. I have 12 acres. I shoot all my toys.

Re: Question the serial number on new guns not purchased

I am all about saving a buck, but if there was a concern I would be going to my local gun shop.

Something seems fishy.
