Re: Steel Shoots 2014

You could try the Neos, but it will not knock down any poppers. You may also have a hard time hearing the ping. Well Neos is getting sold as I just picked up a Ruger MkIII Comp :D Anyone interested? Nice 6" Inox model. I did get another extended 9rd mag for my XDS. If there's only 5 targets pe...

Re: Shopping for a subcompact

I've been debating this as well. I was set on getting a new bi-tone LCP but then I pulled the trigger on one and ugh. The trigger pull was too long for me, with how far my finger would have to come back for it to break I fear that I would not be able to keep the gun on target. Would be curious to sh...

Re: Buy one Sig 1911-45, get a 1911-22 for free

Also depending on the exact arrangement between Sig and the retailer you will probably be on the hook for the sales tax based on the retail price of the firearm. So not really FREE.

Re: Local Ammo Finds

I saw those in the Gander ad that came in the mail the other day. Lots of boxes of 22 listed all limit 1. I have 10 of those Federal 325rd cans still so I'm not buying anymore.

Re:

Having it in a case in my ATV storage does not do me a lot of good if I actually needed to use it. The question is if you want to have it on you in case you "actually need to use it" why wouldn't you get a carry permit? That's pretty much the definition. Besides it's good to go to the cou...

Re: The New Guns Of 2014 Thread

Capra's had that new Ruger GP100 in the case today. Priced at about $780 IIRC. It sure is pretty. Really tempted to get a GP100 Match Champion. According to the Arnzen website it would appear they had one and their price on it was $718. Looking at a few other things on their site it seems Arnzen ha...

Re: Xds or Sheild?

The Shield ........ I hated the XDS ... miss feds ... not accurate .... hated it ..... get the shield Well I've got the XDS 9mm and I've never had a FTF or FTE and love it. As for not being accurate, I thought it was at first too. However I discovered the real issue was my grip needed improvement. ...

Re: Carrying on the job

Guess in my case we were given the the "company policy" (aka "employee handbook") and had to sign a piece of paper saying we received it, will abide by it, etc. And sadly it was in there that 'dangerous weapons' were prohibited from company grounds. Now we got bought out by a lar...

Re: Carrying on the job

You gotta look at this all from a different angle. Company policies in Minnesota have nothing to do with at-will employment but rather with unemployment. You can only collect unemployment if your termination was due to no fault of your own. If they terminate you due to violation of a company policy ...

Re: Ruger LCR

I've seen the LCR at Frontiersman and Gunstop; neither was charging list price, so I'd call or visit and compare the price if you haven't already. Was going to say rarely does Gander have a "good" price. Can't tell you how many times I've gone to the store in Blaine and gone 3 miles down ...

Re: Springfield XD-S recall

leftoverture, Sadly the simplest way to do this is... 1. Sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager (free) 2. Track package 3. Opt to customize delivery time for evening (5PM-8PM) (costs $5) That's what I did, driver showed up right at 5PM. They will not redirect a firearm to a retail store or hold at depot...
