I find grips that fill the hand help reduce recoil more than rubber grips. Most of my revolvers have wood grips that fill my hand and have no problem with recoil. Here is what a holster maker suggests. Baby or talc powder and not a lot is required. Swish it a round and dump out any excess.

Older SXS is always good. My 1930 Western Arms (Ithaca) SXS. (I do like my Mossberg 500 and Rem 1100)

It has the best deterant factor also :shock:
