Re: Form 4 and SBR buying questions.

Firearms and devices that fall under the National Firearms Act (NFA) are a different beast entirely from your regular firearms at for example Cabela's or Gander Mountain. What I suggest you do first before jumping into anything NFA related is read up more about the laws in general. I would suggest f...

Re: M&P 9

If you don't like the trigger on the M&P's, check out Apex Tactical. They do trigger work and sell trigger kits if you have a gunsmith that can install it or if you install yourself. Below is the webpage: http://www.apextactical.com/index.php However I don't think any of the trigger kits other t...

Re: Gunsmith for an mp5

Awesome. Any of you with the hk clones ever have the fte issue? It seems to not eject or extract properly I end up with a mangled round and a spent case jammed up inside. I read some posts that were twelve years old explaining that a fix can be done by bending the extractor spring. I think what's h...

Re: AR Optic/Iron Sight Recommendations?

On a budget: Vortex Strikefire + Magpul BUIS or any similar low cost BUIS you can find.

I used a Vortex Strikefire for a while and they aren't all that bad. They just aren't built quite like the EOTechs, Aimpoints, or Trijicons.

Re: Surefire 60 round AR mags?

These 60 and 100 round Surefire magazines are okay if you are doing 3-gun competition or you are just using them at the range or wherever for fun. However for serious use you will want to stick with the standard 30 round magazines.

Re: AR Buffer Springs, Hard or Soft?????

I recently bought a PSA replacement buffer kit to replace my piece of **** ATI buffer. The PSA came with a new spring and buffer and is quite a bit easier to charge than with the ATI spring. I guess my question is for a 16" carbine length gas system which spring should I use? For a 16" ba...

Re: Is 18 min age to purchase handgun in MN?

Long story short, 21 to buy from an FFL, 18 from private party. ^That right there.^ I didn't buy my first pistol until I was 24, oh well. As far as the long guns that are considered in Minnesota to be "assault weapons" I just go over to Wisconsin and buy them as regular long guns. I find ...

Re: Tell Governor Dayton to sign the Stand Your Ground bill

Gov. Dayton vetoed HF 1467 by letter. Please read it for yourself: http://www.startribune.com/politics/statelocal/141497673.html Only way to get it passed now is majority in House and Senate. I think five more votes for both the House and Senate might be possible. If not this session...

Re: Suppressor

since you only gain 30 dB reduction, I think I'll still use hearing protection. Interesting that it only goes from 160ish to 130ish dB in noise. http://www.chem.purdue.edu/chemsafety/training/ppetrain/dblevels.htm Not enough to really be safe. That's with super sonic rounds. The 9mm I shot was so q...
