Re: First 1911 - revisited...

@Rotary - nice one -- is that a full-size or a commander sized? And which model?

I have a fullsize milspec SA 1911 that I love dearly -- never a malfunction.

Re: I am kinda surprised - SGH

I have one for almost each handgun I own. In fact, I ordered a new Rough out for my S&W 642 that I picked up from Thunderjohn yesterday.

I used a Slide from SGH with my Kimber SIS Pro during a class with Don a few weeks ago -- worked great!

Thoughts on two storage questions

Two things are taking up a bunch of space in my safe right now: 1) Ammo -- how are you storing your ammo? I'm about to complete a garage reorganization project and have thought of storage my range ammo out in the garage in some type of container. I saw some of you are using military style ammo cans ...

Re: In from Florida. Things are different here!

First, welcome! I can understand some of your frustration, I grew up in Indiana where there are very few restrictions on carrying. However, I believe MN's law is much stronger than Indiana's with many more protections -- my parents used to live in Florida as well. I'm a member at Oakdale and live a ...

Re: How's that Heller decision working out?

In 1999, I moved from Ohio to Massachusetts. At the time, I owned only one handgun, a Glock 19. The year prior, in 1998, Massachusetts had passed an extremely comprehensive gun control package in order to reduce crime, blah blah blah. So I move to Quincy, MA, just south of Boston. Licensing is handl...
