Re: Sig Mosquito

A friend of mine, who I call "Mr Sig", had one and had nothing but feeding problems with it.

Best solution, trade it in for something that works.

Re: Local paper has feature on JMB

Minor correction, the BAR was never adapted to 50 cal.

Thinking about it, a 50 cal BAR would be awesome.

Same thing would happen here if the Metrocrats thought they could get away with it.

Beretta M86 Cheetah

#1 son and I went to the St. Paul gunshow this morning. #1 has decided he wants to get his carry permit and I thought this would be a good place to look at a bunch of different models for him. Try as I might I couldn't get him interested in a 1911 variant but he did find a Beretta M86 Cheetah he too...

Re: S&W Holdings Back In The News

So let me get this straight. S&W stock rose 110% from Jan 1 to Oct 18 but lost 55% from oct 18 until now. Unless my math is bad, that means S&W stock has incressed 55% since Jan 1 to now. (Actually they said the rise was 111% from Jan 1 to Oct 18, then down 55 % to now.) Say the stock was $...

Re: Excellent article by Dennis Anderson in Strib

Nice article --- thanks for posting it. This line caught my eye: For example, a good shooter with a properly configured AR-type rifle and ammunition can pick off prairie dogs at 700 yards. Really ... ? Yes, but I would rewrite the sentence thusly. For example, an expert rifleman with a properly con...

Re: Shooting in cold weather

If you are using light target loads as your other post infers, the cold weather probably is the culprit. I'm not familiar with Bullseye as I don't like Alliant powders but I'm betting it's temperature sensitive. A ight load will malfunction and possibly misfire in colder temperatures. Conversely, a ...

Re: HERE IS WHERE IT STARTS..............

Most owners of illegal guns will tell you they buy their guns on the street and their ammo in stores - legally! (Talk to a lot of them do you?)

Same thought crossed my mind.

Re: Are You Ambidextreye Like Me?

We teach a similar method in our firearms safety class only we tell the kids to hold up a finger at arms length and cover each eye one at a time. Only trouble is, I always see two fingers! http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:0OiCMOlpiF0y7M:http://imagecache2.allposters...

Re: District of Columbia v. Heller

My guess is the Supremes will decide not to hear this case and just let the lower court's ruling stand. That leaves conflicting rulings though, doesn't it? If the 9th has ruled that the 2nd is a collective right and this is left to stand, how does that work out? We already had conflicting rulings, ...

Re: District of Columbia v. Heller

I think the Supremes and/or their people are tring to figure out how they can rule that the 2nd amendment is a individual right without throwing out every gun control law ever written.

My guess is the Supremes will decide not to hear this case and just let the lower court's ruling stand.
