Happy shooting!

Re: Dakota County RANGE CLOSED (for coronavirus)

Dakota County Gun Club will be open again starting Saturday, April 18th.

Stay safe and keep so-called social distancing while there and have a great day back at the range.

Re: Dakota County RANGE CLOSED (for coronavirus)

No one is happy we were ordered to close. We checked with the state, got bounced around until we were told to check with the Sheriff's office since they were enforcing the closures, and they said we were under the closure order. I half-jokingly asked the board what the penalty for staying open was a...

Re: Deer rifle sight in?

Dakota County Gun Club is doing sight in the next 3 weekends, 9am-4pm. $10 per rifle for adults, kids with hunter safety certificates shoot for free. We have 25, 50, 100, 200, and 300 yard ranges.

Good luck!

Re: Inexpensive bullet source?

Thanks for all the ideas, I''ll go through and make sure the links all get bookmarked. I've already look at the Montana Gold link and they seem to have great prices and what I'm looking for.

Thanks again!

Re: Moving a safe, ideas?

I'll echo the others here that said to use dowels or pipes to roll the safe on. I've moved 850 pound safes myself using this method, although it is still easier with two people. One person can tip the safe back, the other kicks the wooden dowel underneath it. Use about 4 to move it smoothly, just ke...

Inexpensive bullet source?

What is everyone's top go-to places for inexpensive bullets? I'm still relatively new to reloading and don't really have a good sense yet on what companies have better pricing than others. I'm pretty well set with primers, powder, and brass, so bullets are really my only focus now. I only shoot/relo...

Re: HK VP9 Long Slide

I've had my long slide for about a month now. It's OK. I'm really starting to like the sights. Overall length now matches my Glock 34. The funny thing is, the original threaded bbl has the same overall length as the long slide. The long slide gives the advantage of a longer sight radius and the dubi...

Re: Where to buy Rockset in the twin cities?

Thanks for the tips, Samginko. I ended up finding a free shipping code so I have a bottle to call my own on the way. The muzzle device will likely never need to be removed, and even if it does, there are well documented ways to removing Rocksett. It is certainly not worth worrying about right now wh...

Where to buy Rockset in the twin cities?

Where can I buy some Rockset in the twin cities, preferably southern metro? Is that something O'Reilly's or Ace Hardware would have? Does it go by any other brand names?

I have a muzzle device I need to get mounted.

Thanks,

Re: It’s been awhile

That's pretty damn cool. How quiet is it with the suppressor? Is there any sort of soft-mount/recoil attenuation with the tripod mount? When (if?) you switch barrels, how much shift in zero do you see? I have one from about 2010-ish. I'd love to meet you at the range sometime next summer and compare...

Re: Can I own an M203 destructive device in MN?

Great! Thanks for the quick response. Now it looks like I have some deciding to do. DSArms has complete, less barrel, M203s for under $600. That is a very tempting deal for me. And I can add a 37mm or perhaps go all-in on a 40mm barrel later.
