Re: Slide Fire ar-15

All it takes is an LEO and a county attorney to decide it is. Bump firing may not be illegal, but a device to cause it may well fall in to the "Trigger activator" hole that the MN legislature wrote. Its because of this kind of stuff its cheaper to just buy the bloody tax stamped version. H...

Re: Bullet types

Depends on what you want to get it for. Berger is supposedly selling "match hunting bullets" Coincidentally, these were the same bullets they were trying to sell the military for sniping use. Their data indicated that the match JHPBT bullets they were selling started to expand after a coup...

Re: Slide Fire ar-15

If you want full auto, buy a full auto. C&R class III is available, and legal in MN. Usually the C&R eligible assault rifles are about $10-20K, unless you NEED the StG 44. Subguns are a bit less, belt feds a bit more. You just won't get anything newer than early 60's vintage. They are prett...

Re: Prvi Partizan brass?

In some calibers they are pretty good, in others not so good. I think if you are using a european caliber (8x57, 9.3 anything, etc.) they are probably roughly equivalent of Winchester/Remington/Federal/Hornady. ie they may have a bad run, but most of it works. The more US specific stuff- I had good ...

Re: Heavy metal rifles

Its an open/unlimited weight benchrest rifle- using a return to battery set up.

They are very specialized, very accurate, very expensive....

and about as useful for anything except BR competition as teats on a boar hog.

That being said, it might be neat....nahh.

Re: Remake of a Classic

I would buy one.

However, the STI/SVI modular frame guns or the caspian hi cap are probably a better option for almost any serious use, if a bit more expensive. (given that this is a full size gun)

Re: Is there a gun you wouldnt shoot

I currently have a 30-06 Encore without muzzle break that I will not shoot. It just hurts, and I can feel the bones in my wrist move with the recoil. I may change my mind about it if I get the gumption to put a muzzle break on it. I have my Great great grandfather's London best hammer 12 ga. side by...

Re: Flying with a gun poll

It can be a hassle, but usually with the airlines folks as opposed to TSA. They (TSA) have policies, and to top it off they have supervisors who have been there and done that. It usually is helpful if you have time, and when they start in on you just politely ask to speak with the supervisor. It may...

Hello all

Hi all

Cobb told me about this site a while ago, and just bothered to look it up.

I am from Mankato, been shooting a while. Active with USPSA, and run the Faribault USPSA program. Fairly active hunter, and reload a bit.
