Re: Criminal Complaint in the Rochester Shooting

Prosecutors relied heavily on the duty to retreat. I’m 52 with a bad knee (no ACL- it was torn before DRs knew how to reconstruct them) and 5 stents. I’m not sure I can out run a testosterone filled 17 year old anymore. Those facts could be introduced by your defense attorney. Size, age, health all...

Re: Gabby Gifford’s new Minnesota gun control group for FUDDS

Maybe, but I've never known a committed leftist that was intimated by being where they weren't wanted. While there are probably some hardcore leftists in some of the gun control groups, I'd bet most of them are just scared of guns and find them icky. They are just carrying the water for those that ...

Re: MN State Highway Patrol Adopts SIG Sauer ROMEO4H Optic

It is pretty well proven that an electronic sight on a carbine allows quicker target acquisition. Considering what this state spends money on, I think you guys are nit picking an item that actually makes sense. Agreed. Even within the State Patrol budget, I'm guessing that ALL firearms costs are a ...

Re: Sig P365 Magazine Release Swap help

I used a small paper clip on mine. It's exactly the same as the P320. You aren't pushing the clip all the way through, just engaging the little "button" part of the release to walk it a bit outboard. Once started, you can grab it and pull it out. There's a spring between the two parts. Don...

Re: Why prepping is rational statistically

I need to get some 223/556, I don't need a lot, with out my meds I will not last long. Prepping seems to be for the healthy. Even healthy people probably don't need a LOT of ammo in a SHTF situation. If one gets into enough gunfights to go through hundreds (or thousands) of rounds of ammo, a bullet...

Re: House Democrats plan Second Amendment vote

History shows us revolutions don't usually end well, for either the winers or losers. No kidding. Some romantic dream of being back at the point of 1776 is pure fantasy. I doubt it was all that much fun for those involved and the impact on our modern lives would be horrific. Plenty of examples arou...

I'd guess it's to sit behind the keyboard and hope someone else does the dirty work of a revolution that is unlikely to play out as planned.

Re: Buy 'em back. You know, elected officials.

They certainly are trying. Bloomberg has pledged half a BILLION dollars of his own money to defeat Trump in 2020. Makes the NRA's 30 million last cycle seem like chump change.

Re: Police say school bus driver shot on I-35W after crash

^^^^^^^

That may be his angle, but I think it's a lost cause. There is no way it is "reasonable" to shoot five rounds into a school bus when a step to the side would get you out of danger.

Re: Police say school bus driver shot on I-35W after crash

It gets worse. This is the guy who shot lavauntai broadbent a few years back. Sounds like Minnesota may have our very own George Zimmerman. The only similarity to the George Zimmerman incident, is they both had a firearm. Zimmerman, was being physically attacked, at the time he shot his assailant. ...

Re: Sadly Illinois might have it worse...

The way it looks, your existing supply of non-serialized ammo becomes illegal to possess. Either you are SOL if no serialized ammo exists, or some small volume company will start making it for a crazy high cost. Either way, not good.....at all.
