Re: Legal shotgun for deer hunting

You can do smooth or rifled bore, you can even use brass hulls and essentially make a 1oz slug precision rifle like Pete did. It's one of the stupidest laws we have because you can use a .50BMG to hunt coyotes in the farm zone if you want, but god forbid you should use a lever action .30-30 on deer...

Re: POLL: How often do you carry?

atomic41 wrote:So those of you in the 76% + how do you handle work hours? Most all employers have a no firearm policy so what do you do?

The company I work for (large employer) quietly removed the no guns policy from the employee handbook after the Accent Signage incident.

Re: Serial Numbers

It's been discussed here before, but worth mentioning again. Most homeowner policies put a cap on firearms theft of $5000, unless you add a rider to the policy. As soon as I did that, they wanted a list of SN's and appx. values per gun.

Re: Midway USA reviews......

I've done a ton of business with Midway over the years and don't have anything bad to say about them. Internet reviews always need to be taken with a grain of salt. People seldom take the time to go online and post positive reviews.

Re: Would a Hillary presidency be tolerable?

About as palatable as swallowing a thousand razor blades, but I fear that's what we're gonna get stuck with.

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor being bought up

Only going to get worse as we near the election. Then after, it's looking like we'll get to watch another full blown buying panic.

Re: AR

While a 20"+ barrel is nice, those long bull barrels are not very versatile (too much extra weight for carrying around or offhand shooting). I have made consistent hits on dogs with handloaded ammo in a match 16" 223 barreled AR out to 400-450yds. For us, i've found a 20" barrel is a...

Re: Intense 911 recording

That said, harking on fellow forumn members for posting info that others might find interesting just may be why this forumn seems to be in a death spiral. If you can't legitimately contribute, maybe it's best to STFU. Your clever acronym should get you of soap in your mouth. You need to settle down...

Re: Intense 911 recording

Have 911 tapes become the favorite form of entertainment for Junior G-Men? Well considering this recording was brought to my attention by a currently serving LEO with about 20 years on the job. I'd say studying real life shootings might prove valuable to senior G-Men as well. That said, harking on ...

Re: S&W M&P 15 acting up - ideas?

My guess would be it's been in there since it was manufactured and eventually worked it's way over the where it caused trouble.
