Re: Boot camp shooting course?

I need some ideas for another section... I have this big ravine, and in one area near the top, you have to rappel down into it. Then you go down the ravine a bit and you have a longer rope climb out of it. But I still need to get back down into the ravine to complete the obstacles inside the ravine ...

Re: Boot camp shooting course?

Nice job! I'm impressed when someone puts that much effort into something like that. I'm really impressed when they use it. I've been using it once a day so far, but not shooting from it. I have about 2 miles of hiking trails out here and this is now incorporated into my trails. Except for the craw...

Re: Boot camp shooting course?

I recently found out there was already a competition exactly like I was thinking, it's called Tactical Games and it's basically running an obstacle course, all kitted up with a rifle slung over your shoulder, and a pistol on your belt with shooting positions all along the way, and I think they're ev...

Army teaching poor rifle grip?

I was watching a Shooting USA show today. It was recorded a while ago. They were showing coverage of the 2019 All Army Small Arms Championship at Fort Benning. There was one shooter there (a Major) who was competing, who I noticed had a very unusual off hand grip on his rifle... 118536656_1022274257...

Re: Afton considers limits on residents’ excessive gunfire

As a guy with a private gun range on his property, I would hope that other people with personal ranges would not be shooting a lot after dark. I can see the occasional occurrence where someone might want to see how much fireball comes out, but you have to realize that neighbors are going to get mad ...

Re: Boot camp shooting course?

With the way the government seems to let the bad guys get away with crap but not the good guys, you could be portrayed as a militant train field. Cool idea but these sick pricks in our government find out and want to make a name for themselves could have a ball with your set up to make a name for t...

Which is, essentially, all of them.

It's about time we ban screwdrivers!

Re: Boot camp shooting course?

Pro tip: In the Marines, we didn't do the O course with loaded rifles. You can Google USMC obstacle course. There are plans out there. It wouldn't be cheap. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk Thanks for the tips, that's what I was hoping for. I was thinking must unload after every shooting...

Re: Boot camp shooting course?

I'm going to be a stick-in-the-mud, with my RSO hat firmly on. I'm not sure what your intent is here. Are you just setting up a course for yourself or you and others? Have you thought about safety fans and where bullets might land? Could you guarantee where muzzles will be pointed and that AD's wou...

Boot camp shooting course?

My gun range is about 100 yards long and about 50 yards wide, but I really only use the front 30 yards or so of it. (Besides a bench back at 100 yards) So my thoughts are.... I'm kind of thinking about doing a "boot camp" style obstacle course there. I've never been in the military so I re...

Re: AR9 suggestions? UPDATED, Page 3!

If someone doesn't mind waiting, and wants a better discount, let me know... I'm setup as a dealer for them. But keep in mind, they told me 12 weeks and were just under that time.

Re: Need optic suggestions

I've decided on a Holosun HS515GM. I've heard good things about it, and is in my price point at around $320. It's on backorder right now but hopefully will show up soon.

No, CMMG suggests using a standard weight buffer and spring with their kit, and of course a standard one works well with 300BLK also.
