Re: Governor Walz and Burnsville shooter

To be fair, I'd like to know how he obtained firearms as well.

That said, Walz is trying to use this to push for "safe storage" and probably some other gun control - we'll see what he has to say today on the topic.

Re: Minnesota Adopts the Illinois Model of Assault Weapon Bans

If you are opposed to this bill, do you plan on sending any money to the MN Gun Owners Caucus to help defeat it? I want to see the list of candidates they endorse, especially in the democratic primary. And if they endorse any election deniers in the general election, that's a hard no. The list of t...

Re: Minnesota Adopts the Illinois Model of Assault Weapon Bans

Aren't there cases working their way up to the Supreme Court of the US which have the potential to strike down all so-called "Assault Weapon" bans? Why would anyone even bother to try to pass a law that may well get struck down in the next year? (Other than virtue-signaling). F*** it, I'v...

Re: Hawaii court says 'spirit of Aloha' supersedes Constitution,

I literally agreed with you on hoping the Hawaii ruling gets overturned and now you disagree with it? You think the 14th Amendment is bad too? No, I don't think that - sorry I should have been more specific. "But this also shows how bad the Bruen ruling was." I disagree "Hawaii wasn'...

Re: Curios and Relics question

Recently I read the claim that under MN law Curios and Relics are an exception to the prohibition on owning full-auto firearms (besides law enforcement and licensed gun dealers). Is this correct, that in MN I can own a functioning full-auto firearm as long as it meets the ATF definition of a C&...

Other than St Paul's recent gun storage preemption violation - what are you referencing?

Re: Hawaii court says 'spirit of Aloha' supersedes Constitution,

SCOTUS defying is so hot right now. Thanks Texas for showing us the way. Yeah, I'm not in favor of any state defying SCOTUS. Hawaii's decision, if properly appealed, is going to get reversed. I hope so. There have been too many states thinking they can just ignore the federal government. The 14th A...

Re: Wyoming attempts to deal with gun suicides

No. You can either go through a FFL or you can create and retain the record (which does not require going through a FFL) - these are not the same thing. Bryan I am still confused. If you do a transfer though an FFL the FFL will run a background check correct? We now have 2 ways in MN to transfer ha...

Session starts next week, we'll have a preview video up soon but we won't know for sure what they are planning until they either drop the bills or announce them.

Re: Wyoming attempts to deal with gun suicides

The 'Universal Background Check (except for criminals)' makes it illegal to send your guns to a friend without going to an FFL for a background check in both directions. That's not what MN's universal background check law says. details here: https://gunowners.mn/learn/minnesota-laws/ubcs/ But in es...

Re: In today's gun rights cases, historians are in hot demand

I personally enjoy watching historian Saul Cornell get his ass handed to him over and over and over in federal 2A cases.

But that's me.
