Re: Bad day for my first born

FedEx swung by on Friday with a nice surprise. She is all good to go. And even better yet - I now have a Gen 3 frame :D

Might be swinging by OGC on Sunday to run her through the paces.

Re: Bad day for my first born

Of all the Glocks I've worked on and repaired, I have never seen one with damage that extensive. Do you have any idea of the round count through that weapon? I had no doubt they would take care of you. I was at their factory (when I took armorer's class) years ago in GA, and they showed us several ...

Re: Bad day for my first born

So, A Glock 22 only works for 2 decades? Never stopped working. Exactly. In fact, it performed flawlessly. Groups were still just as tight as always. Some may consider the level of damage to be fatal, but she was still putting lead down the pipe. My confidence in Glock is reaffirmed tenfold. It is ...

Re: Bad day for my first born

Today I received a call from Pete at Glock. He quizzed me at length about what sort of loads I shoot and so forth. I reiterated that this pistol has never seen anything BUT factory loads. He was a bit surprised (not sure he really believed me) and said the only time they have ever seen this type of ...

Re: Bad day for my first born

No reloads, it has always seen factory loads. Glock folks were really nice on the phone, said to send her in and we will take a look. Given the age of it, I am pleased that they are even willing to take a look at it. Shipped Fedex today. It was funny when I went to Fedex in Woodbury - the manager re...

Bad day for my first born

First pistol I ever bought, broke on me today. G22 that I bought 20 years ago. Everything seemed to function normal. Put 100 rounds of WWB 165 grain down the pipe with no hint of anything awry. Once I got home and stripped her down....I had to grab a Kleenex to dry my eyes. The receiver failed...

Re: Night Sights Recommendations?

Trijicons from Streichers. Tad bit less $$ usually. And they install for free too.

Car for a teenager

Hey all, My son is looking for his first car. Let me know if you or someone you know has something along these lines: Price range $2-$3k. Prefer a 4 or 5 speed but doesn't have to be. Reasonably okay condition so he can buy and drive without having to fix a major issue, buy new tires, etc right away...

Re: What IS the Actual Distribution of Wealth?

Once again, I did it. I knew I should not have, but I did. I read this thread and and my IQ plummeted. It seems to me natural selection would do some good in St Olaf's genus.

Re: getting a .45

Second gun I ever purchased was a Ruger P90. Brand new at the time was $399. It is a tank, accurate, and just might be the most reliable weapon I own besides my M1.

Re: SPLIT ** General conversation about how ranges should be run

I knew I should not have done it, but I did. I slogged through this entire thread and regret it so. I even felt compelled to post about it. Perhaps because this thread dropped my IQ by at least a third.

Re: Channel 11 tonight

Ya, Joe needs to do something, he looked pretty rough---I mean WTF??? Smokeyloads That was my take too. Like I tell my kids all the time about managing personal appearance - like it or not, people's perception of you becomes the reality by which you are judged. His physical appearance gave ...

From John Kline

I realize that this is the templated response being sent out by staff - though I was happy to have him reaffirm my faith in continuing to cast my vote his way. Dear Mr. LaBelle: Thank you for contacting me to share your support for Second Amendment rights. I appreciate learning of your views. As you...

Re: Another school shooting. TX

Sadly, it seems that no one in the media will state the painfully obvious fact that is consistent amongst many of the latest shootings.....many are happening in "safe" zones that ban guns to begin with.

Re: Fleet Farm Sporting Rifle Mag Policy

This thread and Dave's responses provide all the support I need to keep heading out to Fleet Farm in North St Paul on a regular basis. Fair, reasonable, and appropriate game plan.
