Re: Building a course

russellmn wrote:Scratch, I'll come help out so long as you PROMISE I won't have to see your tattoo! :D

I can make no such promises....

We've already started and have two courses of fire so far.

Here's a video of a guy shooting into a barrel. Maybe you could do that...?

Re: ATV Gun Rack

I'm not sure if I want to sell these yet.... It took a surprisingly long amount of time to build for how simple it is. Not sure why yet, but I didn't build it to sell anyways, just for me. The camera thing is YouTube's new "auto fix your shakiness" thing... I thought I'd try it. It's alrig...

Re: Looking for a place to shoot...

I live in Hudson, and just yesterday set up a 55 gallon barrel below my deck. We shot down into the barrel and got 4 perfectly expanded hollow point bullets at the bottom. Easier than saving up a a bunch of milk jugs... Let me know if you want to come out and blast into it.

Re: ATV Gun Rack

I don't think you need to replace the ratchet strap, but you DEFINITELY need to do something to eliminate the risk of the ratchet mechanism scratching a barrel or a stock. As it is right now, you effectively lose at least one spot in the rack. Perhaps something like adding a couple eye bolts on the...

ATV Gun Rack

I have a range on my property, but to get to it, I have to go down a big hill and it gets pretty hard coming back up so we usually take my ATV. I have one of those nice rubber gun racks mounted to the rear ATV cargo rack, but it only holds one. I often shoot more than one firearm, and trying to figu...

Re: Powder question

I knew what cartridge overall length is, but when he mentioned COL, I thought he was referring to something about those bullet abbreviations, that's why I asked.

Re: Powder question

Already read the two books I have, Lymans 49th and Lee 2nd. Forgive me if I ask questions... I tried to ask those two books but they never responded. I've had two people who reload come and help me out, but we never went over "Abbreviations 101". Also, too late about shooting my reloads......

Powder question

I found some bullets today and want to try some loads with them. They are 55 gr. V-max, and I'll be using Varget powder for now. I wanted to try some other powders and bullets but they were out of pretty much everything for some reason.... I looked at Hodgedons site and it mentions: 55 gr. SFIRE wit...
