Texas Hogs

Lots of places advertise online. Prices range from cheap w no amenities to expensive lodges.
We're doing our third annual hunt this weekend in Texas. (Previous hunts were OK and Arkansas) Moore's Hilltop ranch, $125/day, no lodging or meals, but no limit on hogs.

Got my Carry Permit!

Get training on how to use a pistol for self defense effectively and safely. Without that, you are likely more dangerous to yourself and your family than if you didn't carry a gun at all. What he said! Get training. I've been carrying an M&P in a Crossbreed Supertuck for years. I think you have...

Stock and Barrel gun club

Their brochure and the fly over video all indicate a total of 14 lanes. One bay of 7 another of 4 and the last of 3(the private lanes). Based on the layout expansion will be fairly easy but there is a lot of non-revenue square footage in the existing layout. While I hope they make it(another range ...

Which Self Defense Handguns seem to be most popular now?

John Farnam wouldn't recommend anything unless he believed it was effective. Most of the top experts are recommending 9mm with top line defense Ammo. It is virtually indistinguishable from 40, 45, 356, etc, and you get more cartridges in your magazine. Much of the data from real shootings indicate t...

USCCA, what's up?

I always thought the founder sounded like he belonged on an infomercial. Is anyone a member of http://armedcitizensnetwork.org/home-page ? I know Farnam and Ayoob were involved when it started up. They did go to bat for a guy down in Arizona and he ended up getting off. I'm a member and thi...

USCCA, what's up?

I joined USCCA maybe 5 years ago and lapsed a year or two later. Their marketing was all kinds of BS. I plan to rejoin just for the insurance, although there's probably some value to the magazine as well.

Never hunted but would like to for me and my sons

Another option is a paid deer hunt. I haven't done it for deer in Minnesota but have done hogs down south. Go on the Internet and search "deer hunt Minnesota". It will cost some bucks for your bucks but probably better odds. I have hunted state forest for years with no success (partly due ...

Handgun Locations for Home Security

A gun on me from when I get out of bed until I go to bed, except shower and gun "free" zones. The 938 sleeps in the nightstand and watches my shower from under clean undies.
There are guns accessible on every floor, but not nearly as quick as the one on me.
