Beyond your basic first aid kit

John Farnam put on a good one when he was in town. You could take the gunshot wound class one day, the other class two days or both. Last year it was advanced pistol, I think this year it was force on force.
I think he comes every year. Bob Jahn hosts him.

Lead ammo email from MN Gun Owners PAC

If it's in a compound (eg lead oxide) it's not elemental lead. I don't know how that affects its bio toxicity.

I want to shoot TX hogs. What gear?

I've dropped hogs from 80-120 lbs with .308 and 6.8 AR's. Barnes tsx or ttsx solid copper bullets. The .308 went thru two hogs and kept going. All were chest cavity shots and none made it more than twenty yards before collapsing.
And a 1-4 scope is good, leupold, trijicon, etc.

Who do they come after first?

In the spirit of paranoia inspired by Hillary's and Obama's endorsement of the Australia model of forced gun confiscation, I started speculating on the mechanics of the ATF's plan. I am ignoring for the moment the firefights and ensuing civil war. Hard to say, but the two top candidates: Registered ...

80% 1911?

1911's were first made with the machine tools available in the early 1900's. A competent machinist with adequate tools should be able to duplicate that, but not to the precision of high end CNC. Of course it depends on which 20% needs machining.

Active shooter in Community College Roseburg, Oregon

Doesn't matter that Oregon HAS "universal" background checks and the campus is a pretend gun free zone. Still need more laws.
