Re: New gun design by a local guy.

Pat, It sounds like quite a treat. I think it's interesting to be one of the first people to fire a new design. It will be interesting to track the weapon through the deveopment process and into production. Depending on the price point, I would consider owning one, initially for the purpose of a col...

Re: Bersa .380 little review for a little gun

I've just picked up a Bersa Thunder this last weekend. I am looking forward to putting some rounds through it. I'm glad to see an enthusiastic support group.

Does anyone have some recommendations on IWB holsters with extra mag capabilty?

New gun design by a local guy.

Howdy, I'm wondering if you guys had heard about this guy from St Paul who came up with a new gun design. It's in development now and looks interesting. Just to quell any potential issues, I am not affiliated with this group in any way. I thought it interesting that a "hometown" guy had co...

Re: Lifejacket firearms safety cases-too complicated for Defense

You guys are right, I guess I sort of answered my own question. I suppose you could get the model for a handgun and mount it in the trunk in case you needed to leave your CCW behind. I have a Thread that asks about whether anyone uses the small box "safes" for the vehicle. Thanks guys. Yuk...

Re: Custom night sites for a Ruger Security 6?

I checked the Meprolight website and they don't specifically mention the Security Six, but I imagine a good gun smith could tell me whether one of the other sights will work or could be slightly modified to fit. I may be off on a Safari today to get this one solved.

Thanks for your help.

Lifejacket firearms safety cases-too complicated for Defense

Howdy, I've seen this type of lock up system for handgun and shotgun on the Law Enforcement Targets website and wondered if anyone has any experience with them. I've had good luck with the DAC Sportsafes that Law Enforcement Targets sell, so I'm intrigued by the simplicity of the Lifejacket locks. S...

Secure-it handgun safe-any thoughts?

Howdy, I am toying with the idea of buying a small lock box to keep in my car. The one I'm looking at is the Secure It handgun storage safe from Sportsman's Guide. It's not a huge investment, but I'm wondering if anyone else has one and whether they are worth having. It appears that it won't be larg...

Re: Custom night sites for a Ruger Security 6?

1911 it is pinned. I'm surprised that some enterprising company wouldn't come up with a set up for this. Anyway, thanks. A buddy of mine had some work done on a shotgun at Ahlmans. I suppose I could bring it by Gander and get a price and then take the drive down to Cabela's and stop at Ahlman's on t...

Custom night sites for a Ruger Security 6?

|Howdy, I am assuming, since I don't see any manufacturers offering them, that if I want to get night sights for my Security 6 that it will have to be a custom job. I guess I can always bring it to Gander Mountain in Lakeville, but: - are there any "on the market" sights I'm missing? -Are ...

Smart Carry - are they as good as claimed?

Howdy, I've been reading a lot of chatter about the Smart Carry rig on another forum and am wondering if anyone uses it and can tell me how comfortable they are and how they work. I get the concept, but do they use some sort of holster in the "jock" area, or is it just a pouch? Not sure I'...

Re: Has anyone used Defensive Egde SLR15 for training?

Hmmmmm seems I've used bad form. I appologize, it wasn't my intention to do any promoting for these guys, it was really an innocent question. How does one get feedback on any of the service providers if its taboo to bring up the name or drop a link so those commenting know what your talking a...

Re: Has anyone used Defensive Egde SLR15 for training?

Thanks Guys. I'll take a wait and see approach. I don't know that I'd be up for taking anything until Summer anyway. I'll keep researching.

If anyone has any additional comments please feel free to post or send me a note.

Thanks again.

Has anyone used Defensive Egde SLR15 for training?

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I wanted to get some feedback on expereiences with Defensive Edge out of Anoka. I am a non-LEO, conceal carry guy. I've been carrying casually for a while but I've decided if I am going to carry that I should do the responsible thing and make sure my ski...
