Re: 10-22 target w/hammer forged bull barrel - any thoughts?

Re: New to hunting...

I'll keep an eye out. Any recommendations on guns for bird, deer, bear?? Caliber included. Deer: I would think a .270 or larger if your in the RIFLE AREA. Most people up north hunt with .30-06 because you can find it at the local gas station, hair care and tire center. :D Birds: any 12 gauge will d...

Re: South Dakota Dogs

You sick bastard :D , I smoked a gopher that wandered onto our range at about 325 yds with my .308 about a little while ago :D . Expensive, but fun. Even the cheap Lake City Nato 7.62 ammo is accurrate enough for dogs out to 350 and a little beyond ...out of my 700 build anyway ;) Haha Shhhh Dont t...

South Dakota Dogs

We are going to be hunting on private and state land. Thanks for all the info guys. This being my first p dog shoot, I can't wait to get out there and see what my guns can do. I sold the long range .233 to fun my AR, so the .308 is going to come into play. Muahahaha

Barrel Twist

I never really planned on using FMJ for hunting, but awhile back while yote hunting we were informed that you can't use FMJ for hunting. It's just that it's so readily available and relatively inexpensive versus other bullet types. Also I don't reload( YET), so everything I shoot is going to be fact...

Re: Barrel Twist

A good 1in 8" twist bull barrel should give you a laser with plenty of punch to cleanly drop coyotes or explode pdogs at you distances. Ok, Ive seen some 1in 8 that I like. What grain bullets would you recommend? Would say 50 to 55 grain HP or FMJ be good? I know in this state you cant shoot a...
