Re: Disturbing DL renewal form

So it’s another easy to compile list of probable gun owners along with the PTC and NFA folks come the day. But then tracking down gun forum members should be relatively easy too, so why sweat it? I expect the NSA already has the IDs of every NRA member and raid priority contingencies being continual...

Re: Long gun case storage ideas?

“What if you need to bring more than 2 or 3 with you?”

Ya got me. I’ve just never taken more than three of one type long guns that could not be taken down like an AR at the same time. I suppose you could replace some shorter/slimmer with large cases to cover those eventualities.

Re: Long gun case storage ideas?

I don’t see the point of a case for every long gun. 2-3 each for scoped, slimline and SBR’s should suffice. For longer term storage of guns I don’t expect to shoot soon, I like Zerust bags. Midway gunsocks for inside safe. Wide black or purple for Scoped/AR. Narrow for lever/pump w/o optics. Cut ‘em...

Re: Linda Slocum

I upped my lifetime to endowment a couple of years ago and got a promose to not call anymore. So far, so good. I don’t mind mailings and still contribute when a purchase checkout has that option.

Re: Scott Adams on gun control

“... I would expect human psychology to favor AR-15s for any “make me famous” killings such as the recent school tragedy. I hate to say it, but a military-looking weapon is going to be more appealing, and feel more dominant, for such killers.” “...access to AR-15s raises the risk of mass shootings a...

Re: It begins: HF3022

I never thought I would say this since my entire family is here, but if any of these draconion measures pass I will be selling the house and moving to a freeer state pronto. I figure South Dakota is a safe bet but Wisconsin would be my first choice unless they drink the kool-aid too.How pro-gun is I...

Re: AR-15 Lower Decision

I like the SOLGW parts kit w/o trigger and grip - $37 https://sonsoflibertygunworks.com/products/rifle-builder-kit?variant=3083616065 Mega Gator forged lowers for me - about $120. Atomic usually has them. Billet lowers are more $$$, but are easier to build with the screw-in bolt release and built-in...

Re: Suppressor meltdown

From Army Study Guide. (Non-gov) -What are the rates of fire for the M249? Sustained rate is 100 rounds per minute Rapid rate is 200 rounds per minute Cyclic rate is 650 to 850 rounds per minute So the max reccommended max rate of 200 is less than 1/3 the cyclic rate. They must be making MG barrels ...

Re: .224 Valkyrie? Any insight?

Grim, I guess I overlooked that it uses different mags. That is a big negative for me. Creedmoor may still be preferable. Creedmoor uses an AR10 vs an AR15. You can buy plenty of mags for the difference. I’m now leaning towards a second upper for my 308 for Creedmoor and use the same mags. Plus I h...

Re: .224 Valkyrie? Any insight?

I was going to swap out my .308 AR barrel for 6.5 Creedmoor, but I like the way it shoots now. The Valkyrie temps me for several reasons. -Only have to buy a barrel and bolt. -Small frame should be lighter loaded than my 16” .308 even with a longer barrel. Thinking 20”. -Already have plenty of mags....
