Re: Carry gun suggestions or tips?

Train more. I think the "reduced fine motor skills" in a stressful situation concept is highly overblown and be overcome with just practice and good muscle memory, and the extra time it takes is meaningless, practically speaking. Personally, I think the chances that I'd ever need to draw ...

Re: Carry gun suggestions or tips?

Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk[/quote] Have you tried a Smith Wesson M & P compact or full size? Maybe with the different size palm swells it would work better. I think there are also some other makes/models with grip adjustments, i'm just not familiar with them. No I haven't because thei...

Carry gun suggestions or tips?

Hey all, not sure if this post belongs here or in tactics. So admins by all means move if need be, but my questions are related to both handguns and tactics. The Problem: I guess I have small hands? Or, I have short thumbs? [See Images below] I'm unable to operate the mag and slide releases on my ha...

Re: Colorado governor tries to apologize for gun control measure

His apology and lack of ownership over having supported and signing into law the legislation that passed means jack-squat unless the laws enacted are going to be repealed. Hopefully Coloradans are smart enough and vote his sorry irresponsible behind out of office.

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

Ay attempt at a gun ban would result in a civil war and Obama knows that. Perhaps. But this man has on numerous occasions, displayed both an utter contempt for the constitution, as well as the rights and opinions of small town midwesterners. You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a...

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

Unfortunately there's a very good chance that if you don't vote for a D or and R you would have been better staying home and watching TV. There's also a very good chance that even if you vote for a pro gun dem that they will be anti-gun after the next Sandy Hook or at the least side with other dems...

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

So what do you propose? Because if McFadden is'nt the one option, we're stuck with Franken as the other? http://www.mnguntalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=50653&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15#p516666 It looks to me as if that thread, has reached the same general consensus as this one, we'r...

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

Q: The Senate voted down expanding background checks on gun purchases. Would you support that? A: I'm a strong believer in the Second Amendment, and the right to bear arms. It does concern me that someone that's not allowed to buy a gun at Wal-Mart because they didn't pass a background check is all...

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

McFadden's responses are not solid. I'd like him to be more pro-2a. Franken, on the other hand, has shown us by his sponsorship of the last AWB bill, that he is definitely not on our side. So perhaps this speaks to my point. Maybe with McFadden, gun owners will have more of a voice in the political...

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

When I was younger, I voted for 3rd party candidates. In every instance except for 1, my vote(along with all of the other 3rd party voters) only kept the candidate that was more closely aligned with my views from being elected. This sort of thinking has resulted in the election of folks like Al fra...

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

Mathematically, you are correct. Your 3rd party vote doesn't add to Franken's number. It also does NOTHING to defeat him, regardless of how much better you may feel by voting your conscience. So, if Obama ends up with both houses of congress again and there is another school shooting, you can enjoy...

Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

I prefer to vote for someone who shares my values, not some rich dude who bought his way into the primary. I agree 100% and have voted that way in every election, at every level, for the past 26 years. I've hated both Republicans and Democrats equally but was more aligned with Republicans.I've not ...

Re: Dems eye gun control in spending bill

In my opinion trying to work with them is going to lose the battle. There's nothing you can do that will work. Somebody will use a gun to do something bad and the other side will always push for more until you have nothing to give. Death by a thousand cuts is in their favor, not ours. I'm not sure ...
