Re: CZ question

With all the talk about the CZ 52 I asked my brother about them, (he didn't know why I would want one) but now I am the proud owner of 2 he gave me, he didn't have any ammo, but I will be down to the gun shop and get them fitted. I will keep you posted. msn

Re: Minnesota sketches fall wolf hunting season

I have read all the posts and find them very interesting. some knowable people posting. Over the years I have spent considerable time in the north woods, both hunting & enjoying other types of recreation. I have encountered a LOT of Wolf sign, but my sightings have been very limited, I can only ...

Re: Kel Tec PF9

I fired my new one for the first time today. I too sanded down the stock trigger a bunch, smoothed out the trigger guard, and sanded down those horrible ridges on the front and rear of the grip. I put 70 rounds through it without a hiccup. I was shooting about 12" low with it at 7 yards, can't...

Re: Just scored a Bersa Thunder 380 CC.

I agree, The Bersa is a big "bang for your buck" pistol, just remember when you clean it to put the spring on the correct way, The smaller (tighter) end slips on first. the ends are very close in diameter but one end is smaller, msn

Re: backpacks

My backpack has been almost as important to me as my rifle, It really depends on where you hunt. in the north I could carry some security items, when a foot took an unexpected dip in a "bog" and got wet,or the weather took a turn for the worse it was nice to know the backpack held replacem...

Re: coyote hunting question

I am certainly no authority but the way I read it you can hunt coyote durning the muzzleloader season provided you wear the proper blaze orange (p.24) & do not use a muzzleloading rifle. (p. 89) only those with a muzzleloading licence may possess a muzzleload rifle during that season. Please let...

Re: Quigly

He has a cabin up at Gordon Wisconsin. That day he had 9" of snow, so he pack up early. He was in the poll barn puttering around about 3pm. He looked outside and spotted two deer, a large doe and a spike. He went outside and shot the doe, he thought the second deer showed the flag. But, he got...

Re: Looking for a carry gun and best price

FWIW, I think $20 FFL is VERY reasonable! ... certainly not the most, around. :? I prefer to have a bit more a "business relationship", with an FFL ... than I would with, let's say, the 18yr-old handin' me my lunch at McDonald's. When I can, I have my FFL order what I want. When I'm gonna...

A "shout-Out" to new FFL dealer

I would like to give a "Shout-Out" to one of Mn. newest & finest FFL dealers (I am sure they are all great). I recently had the opportunity to purchase a revolver from Mike Villa, owner of "Lakes area Sportsman Supply" If my experience is any indication of Mikes future in the...
