Re: Stolen guns St.Paul

Currently insured locally through one of our banks. But what is the name of the provider of your insurance policy? The bank is just the rep for some insurance company, right? What is the insurance company's name? My independent agent has looked many times for me and the phrases "$30k coverage&...

Re: Stolen guns St.Paul

Two other things to take from this. Make sure you have a list of all your firearms and their serial numbers. Don't keep the list in the safe or on your computer, cuz both could be gone. Which reminds me I need to update mine. Be sure of your insurance policy for firearms coverage. Most will only co...

Re: Spotting Scope

I researched this topic last year or so and settled on a redfield. Crazy that Walmart sells the brand, but the reviews were mostly excellent all over the net. I ordered from optics planet and got the package model with case and small tripod. You get what you pay for, but I had no interest in droppin...

Re: Glock Stippling and Slide Finish

Being a glock, it would probably still fire and cycle (if you could find a nub of the trigger to pull).

Re: Shotgun sight bead misaligned. Need Ideas!!!

Don, How should I fill in the old hole. What to use? Could I just leave it open and drill and tap a new hole behind it? What would be the repercussions? Or would I get lucky and end up with a ported shotgun. Pun intended. Isn't Don telling you to simply find a set screw to fill the hole with, and t...

Re: Rohm RG7 .22 Revolver

I think the hand can be worn on those to the point where the cylinder won't fully turn to the next round, which could lead to misfires or worse. I think numerich still has some parts available.

It is what it is. Enjoy plinking with it, but be careful.

Re: I be moving!

Gun store by Main Motors went out of business. He sold all his guns to Cabelas a few months back :( I liked that place, if for no other reason than to bum around in it. Unfortunately I always had the impression the prices were a bit too high so I never purchased anything. Sometimes inventory needs ...

Re: .22TCM

I picked up a used Rock Island 9mm 1911 a few months back. After, I researched and found the TCM existed. Checked to see if I could get the barrel for my gun but no go. Wouldn't mind having one still. I read finding ammo is hard too though.

Buy it.

Re: Zimmerman mocks Angela Corey in new Painting

There were reports he did not paint the first image. Someone showed the image was theirs and that at most Z did some shading. Not sure what came of that.

Re: M1 Garand, ammo, etc.

Thanks again, everyone. I have been doing a ton of research too. I have joined a bunch of new sites. I have learned a lot already. Got a long way to go though. Considering ordering a second rifle but this time directly from CMP. Caught the bug.

Re: Stock refinishing

I have heard good things about Ahlmans, although their website says they no longer offer a high gloss urethane stock refinish option.
