Re: Taurus 85 light primer strike

I had a similar problem with an M85. The trigger had been lightened and the revolver would not reliably fire CCI primers in double action. (Federal and Winchester primers worked fine) I purchased the revolver used from Bill's, they tried to fix it in house twice. First time there was no change, same...

Re: Club near Nowthen

The initial dirt work for the 6 new pistol bays at Beaverbrook is complete. The seeding will begin very soon, the road to the new bays will be upgraded after the ground has had time to settle. I expect some or all of the new bays to be open this fall. Plans for a longer rifle range are still under d...

Re: Evil Black Rifle photo thread

My B5 adjustable stock was just too wide for my face. I replaced it with a fixed Magpul MOE carbine stock.

Re: AR308 opinions

I'm not a AR aficionado, but I have a DPMS .308 compact hunter with a 16 inch barrel. It works great, decent accuracy.

Re: Who makes the best hand primer?

I tried one of the RCBS hand priming tools, compared to my old Lee Auto Prime hand tools, I thought it was awful. After Lee quit selling parts for the old tools, I bought a couple of the newer Lee Auto Prime XR tools, I think it's the next best thing to the original.

Re: Lil Gun ?

Holly ****. 500 in a 4 inch has to ring the hands pretty good, especially with hot loads. Bet you were laughing on her comment. Try to get a pic of that fire breathing dragon next time you shoot or a video clip. You would need tin foil to cover your target to keep from burning it. If Ruger does get...

Re: Lil Gun ?

Comes with complete grill to cook whatever I shoot. When shooting factory 240 gn loads, the fireball is pretty big..... The Mrs bought me a 4 inch 500 S&W mag for our 35th wedding anniversary, it's 4 inches including the muzzle compensator, the barrel itself is only 3 inches. The first time she...

Re: Lil Gun ?

I have limited experience with Lil' Gun, I tried it in a few .500 S&W Mag loads, and the results were promising. Some claim that Lil' Gun burns exceptionally hot and will cause accelerated forcing cone erosion. I think most of the claims involve Freedom Arms .454 Casull's or .500 S&W Mag rev...

Re: Brass deformation ?

I agree with JJ, if the neck sized cases chamber reliably I would just use it. If you have issues chambering the neck sized cases, I would consider having the barrel set back and re-chambered. Any full service gunsmith should be able to do the work, I had one done 3 or 4 years ago for $100.00.

Re: Anyone seen Bullseye lately?

I bought some Saturday at Ahlmans, they had lots of it on the shelf. $18.99 for a 1 lb bottle, 1 container limit on powder. They also had plenty of Unique, but it was a dollar more. I haven't seen any 231 for awhile.
