SKS furniture

I've been thinking about getting some new furniture for my SKS. I like the look of something like this: http://shootersgunaccessories.com/images/tapcoblackintrafuselowerrail.jpg and am wondering if anyone has any input on the Tapco line of stuff or if they have any other looks they've se...

Re: Walking Targets

Brazing or bolting on the AR to the CR would work for that part, but the part I would be afraid of is if you hit that 2.5 inch circle, it would probably bend the CR steel right below the circle. It's only about an inch wide at that point. I know the design could be changed to make that wider, and us...

Re: Walking Targets

By the way... if anybody needs any "other" types of metalwork done, maybe with regular steel, or where a CNC plasma cutter might work like signs or stuff... my website is:

Re: Walking Targets

The AR series of steels are basically just "harder" steels. Because they're harder, they're also more expensive and more difficult to work with. Not for his laser or my Plasma, but like drills and stuff. Most of the steel targets you'll find are made from some grade of AR steel. CR (cold r...

Re: Walking Targets

Hey Chopper! Yes, that's me. That's not my video, but that is my thread he posted. I'd love to make them out of AR, but it's just so expensive and I don't think many would buy them at the price I'd have to charge. AR is at least 3 times as expensive as standard steel, and obviously I'd have to charg...

SKS scope mount

I want a better scope mount for my SKS. I got one of those cheezy reciever cover mounts that come off easily for free but it just doesn't hold it's accuracy. Can anyone suggest a good solid more permanent mount for a scope on an SKS. I'd like to be able to install it myself, but if I need to go to a...

Hi from Hudson!

Hi guys, I was referred to this forum by another member, glad to find it. I have 20 acres of woods that I'm planning on building a tactical shooting range in. I like Glocks and am trying to figure out how I can convince my wife into letting me get an AR-15. I have an SKS that I also like to plink ar...
