AR15 Uppers question

Are there any advantages of a 16" carbine length upper over a 16" mid length upper? Way would one choose one over the other? Other than a bayonet fits on the mid length. Also what buffer would you use on the Mid length? :?

Re: UofM Firearms Range - Rosemount, MN

I'm reading some of the paperwork and they require you to use only subsonic ammunition - WTF? So basically, because its owned and operated by the University and the University is a public institution, they technically have to appear to offer the facility to the public, but when you look into it, th...

1911 conversion

I recall at one time (~30 years ago) you could buy a conversion for a 1911, to change it into a hi power single shot pistol (3006, 308, 35 Ren, etc) I can't remember who made it, does anybody know, and I wonder if it is still available?? :?:

Re: Sportsman's Guide

Question I have is there any difference in the paper work for a pistol or a rifle, is there any reason that I can not make a pistol out of this bare stripped lower? :?: No difference in paper work as it's Form 4473 either way. Part of the section the dealer fills out is marking the lower as 'rifle'...

Re: Sportsman's Guide

I bought a Anderson bare AR lower from the catalog to be picked up at the store, I had it shipped to the store (it took about a week), and they charged me a "Gun Fee" ($5 on rifles or $10 on pistol) I assume it is their name for the transfer paper work, still cheaper than to pay shipping t...

Re: Calling BS on the official story of the Iranian capture of t

Is it possible the boats were used to sneak something (or someone) in to their waters under cover, and used the breakdown as a ruse?
