Re: DANGER Weatherby Vangard Safety Bulletin.

I'm waiting for the box they are supposed to send me to ship my bolt back for modification. I just hope they have a quick turn-around. I want to shoot as soon as it gets above 40 :P

Re: NRA Instructor Class Feb. 23rd & 24th In St. Louis Park

Don, can a mobility disabled person qualify for this certification? I'm able to walk short distances with a cane but can't stand very long. I use a wheelchair for lengthy distances. I'm 54 and been shooting since I was 6. My father was a firearms instructor in the military and taught me most of what...

Re: 1st Wednesday lunch @ 98lbs

Although I'm only a member of this BB I plan to go. I'm looking forward to meeting at least a few fellow gun enthusiasts and hopefully some that reload too.

Competition Question

Is there any rifle competitions that allow a gun along the lines of a Weatherby 30/06 with a scope? Second, I'm disabled ( can't walk long distances and can't get in prone position on the ground) and need something geared to shooting off a bench. Don't want to get into formal Bench Rest Comp. with t...

DANGER Weatherby Vangard Safety Bulletin.

I was searching the Weatherby website trying to locate the rate of twist on my Vangard 30/06. While in the Support section I discovered a Warning about problems with the Bolt Sleeve and the possibility of the weapon firing without the bolt being fully closed. Needless to say this both Perturbed me a...

Re: 40 Cal Brass Ready to Load wanting to understand value

You should be able to get somewhere between $.05 & $.07 per piece. How many do you have total? You can list it for sale on this BB. I just purchased some .40 Cal from another member or I would make you an offer. Armslist and Craigslist are two other good places to list it with no cost. I reload ...

Re: Fleet Farm Blaine ammunition report

I was at FF in Lakeville today with similar stock of ammo. They do have a sign that limits purchases to 6 boxes a day. The Bulk .22 section looked looted....lol. Quite a bit of other .22 (Higher Priced) stuff but zero bulk.

Re: Reloading

You will find NO Finer Training than what OldmanFCSA offers. He's extremely experienced and very patient with us newbies. I went over (short drive) and learned a great deal. You won't be sorry. I agree that you should read as much as possible and don't hesitate to ask for advice on this forum. The p...

Re: Florida permit carrier arrested for lawful carry.

What about charges he might have incurred if they towed his vehicle? At the very least, he should be compensated for any costs or lost wages he incurred and a Personal Face to Face Apology from the officer.

Re: Won a LCP 380!

Just an FYI, My wife has a S&W 642 1.750" Airweight and the recoil is quite snappy. I've loaded her some 125 gr. rounds with reduced loads to test this Sunday. I thought about a small semi but it too is going to be snappy in the recoil. I would let her fire it to see, that way you won't be ...

Re: Had some fun with the 300 blk today

Very nice group. I can't wait until it warms up here so I can test my 30/06 hand loads and see what my gun prefers? :)

Re: Looking for a press to make my own ammo

I saw a guy selling a Lee 1000 Progessive Press setup for three calibers for $150 on Armslist yesterday. He turned down my $125 offer. If you want his email info, PM me and I'll get it to you

Re: Best "all purpose" caliber

I've had the pleasure of doing just what you are planning to do. I did it all, in a one week stretch. We started hunting Praire Dogs on Monday and ended up taking a Mulie on Sat. I used a Weatherby Vangard in 30/06. I didn't hand load at the time so I convinced a buddy to do it for me. For the "...
