Re: Supreme Court Bump Stock Debate

I fully support Trump's bump stock ban. Thank you, Mr. Trump! Or to put a little more nuance into it, they should be covered under the NFA. You can have one if you meet the requirements. You're welcome to pursue legislation with Congress to prohibit them, but the administrative overreach here shoul...

Re: 2024 "Ban Everything" Legislative Thread

I'd also add - MGR has never filed any legal action in Minnesota. Along with FPC and 2AF, we sued the state over the 18-20 carry ban (and won), and now are kicking Ellison's ass in the 8th circuit - see https://gunowners.mn/worth We have at least once case we hope to file this spring w/ FPC and 2AF. b

Re: 2024 "Ban Everything" Legislative Thread

Minnesota Gun RIghts has no presence at the state capitol, shows up only to make videos, and leave. They have constantly portrayed the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus as compromisers and worthless -- to the point that last year they claimed we were writing anti-gun bills last year. We wound up sending t...

Re: 2024 NRA Board Election Reform Candidates

I know Jeff Knox personally but I do not know any of the others. I would support Jeff. I'm a NRA Patron member but don't give them any money anymore. Nationally the two organizations that we have regular contact with and coordinate actions legislatively and on the legal front are: - Firearms Policy ...

Re: Governor Walz and Burnsville shooter

To be fair, I'd like to know how he obtained firearms as well.

That said, Walz is trying to use this to push for "safe storage" and probably some other gun control - we'll see what he has to say today on the topic.

Re: Minnesota Adopts the Illinois Model of Assault Weapon Bans

If you are opposed to this bill, do you plan on sending any money to the MN Gun Owners Caucus to help defeat it? I want to see the list of candidates they endorse, especially in the democratic primary. And if they endorse any election deniers in the general election, that's a hard no. The list of t...

Re: Minnesota Adopts the Illinois Model of Assault Weapon Bans

Aren't there cases working their way up to the Supreme Court of the US which have the potential to strike down all so-called "Assault Weapon" bans? Why would anyone even bother to try to pass a law that may well get struck down in the next year? (Other than virtue-signaling). F*** it, I'v...

[b} I see this as the Creation of a new Class of Criminals in Minnesota. [/b] Will you have the same Rights as Current Criminals with get out of jail free cards? Re: Hawaii court says 'spirit of Aloha' supersedes Constitution,

I literally agreed with you on hoping the Hawaii ruling gets overturned and now you disagree with it? You think the 14th Amendment is bad too? No, I don't think that - sorry I should have been more specific. "But this also shows how bad the Bruen ruling was." I disagree "Hawaii wasn'...

Re: Curios and Relics question

Recently I read the claim that under MN law Curios and Relics are an exception to the prohibition on owning full-auto firearms (besides law enforcement and licensed gun dealers). Is this correct, that in MN I can own a functioning full-auto firearm as long as it meets the ATF definition of a C&...

Other than St Paul's recent gun storage preemption violation - what are you referencing?

Re: Hawaii court says 'spirit of Aloha' supersedes Constitution,

SCOTUS defying is so hot right now. Thanks Texas for showing us the way. Yeah, I'm not in favor of any state defying SCOTUS. Hawaii's decision, if properly appealed, is going to get reversed. I hope so. There have been too many states thinking they can just ignore the federal government. The 14th A...
